Publisher's summary

When an EMP attack plunges the nation into darkness, the days of panic have only just begun....

About to leave for Army Basic Training, Peter Meier awakens to a society on the edge of collapse. But when three strangers wander onto his family’s backwoods property in rural Wisconsin, a shocking turn of events plunges his world into turmoil.

Meanwhile, in the nearby town of Bowman, Mayor Tom Grossman must work tirelessly to maintain a sense of calm. With no power, cars, or phones, will he be able to quell the rising tensions and keep the townsfolk composed? Or will the entire region unravel into madness in the midst of the disaster?

Age of Survival is an exciting post-apocalyptic EMP survival thriller featuring regular people struggling to survive after an EMP.

Just No

Three hours after a power outage we have the arsenal out and are patrolling the yard with our rifles. But that's good because three hours into a power outage people are attempting to raid their house. This is a great narrator and I'm sorry he is wasted on this book.

Finally a realistic perspective

I’ve been involved with the management of emergencies initially in 1986 as a military firefighter until now as an instructor for Emergency Response Teams. This story has several good points to include a small community/town coming together and how someone with a disability access and functional need struggles during a crisis/emergency/disaster. If I were to look for a con, perhaps the narrative transition between situations. Regardless, I am eager to see just how the series continues.

awful narrator

I couldn't make it pass 5 min in. I just couldn't take his voice anymore. The premise seems good, but maybe to read and not listen.
