Publisher's summary

Luke Emerson is the last person Sebastian Wakefield expects to see strolling into his tattoo shop. But Luke’s not back after four years to take up where they left off. Not even to apologize for the cheating that broke them up.

Luke wants a custom tattoo, a memorial for someone known only as "A.J." Much as Seb would love to tell Luke to take this ink and shove it, he’s a professional. Plus, he’s reluctant to admit, he wouldn’t mind getting his hands on Luke again. Even if it’s just business.

Once Luke’s in the tattoo chair, though, Seb finds himself struggling with all the anger and resentment he thought he’d left behind - and those aren’t the only feelings reignited. Their relationship may have been turbulent, but it was also passionate. Four years clearly hasn’t been long enough for the embers of that fire to go cold.

A few subtle hints from Luke is all it takes to make Seb consider indulging in some of that physical passion. It shouldn’t be that tough to keep his emotions from getting tangled up in sweaty sheets.

After all, it’s not like he’s in love with Luke anymore. Right?

I love this story and I hate it

* Spoilers *

Books that involve direct cheating from a main character disturb me - I realize not everyone is as disturbed as me or for some it ticks off their glutton for punishment box. I would have passed this one up if it was written by anyone else other than L.A. Witt or if it performed by anyone else other than Nick J. Russo. That being said I enjoyed Luke and Sebastian's journey to their HEA.

Except...is it really a HEA? We've all heard "once a cheater, always a cheater" A part of me wants to chalk Luke's deliberate lying and cheating to his being young and dumb. But some just traits don't go away with youth and maturity. Sebastian's acknowledged at one point Luke looked him in the eye and lied with no hesitation...and we later find out Luke felt absolutely no guilt! He treated the man he loved like crap...how would he treat a man he didn't love? Luke was loved so much by Seb - the s*x was amazingly hot...yet he was ok having mediocre sex with other men? Just because he was "young and dumb"

There is something else that bothers me. Maybe I could forgive the cheating... but Luke up and left Sebastian for another man...That is something I don't think I could get over. I think if there had been an explanation maybe? but it was mentioned twice I think but no reason why.

Overall I did love this contribution in the Wilde's series but because I cannot truly believe that Luke won't hurt Seb again in the future I am left feeling dissatisfied.
