It’s SO good!!!

I’m not sure what took me so long to listen to this one. It’s been sitting in my library and when I finally gave it a go, oh my goodness, it’s so good.

I once read that LA Witt wrote this one specifically for Michael and Greg to narrate and it couldn’t be more perfect!

This book is low in angst, but there’s a lot of feels, I’ve laughed out loud several times. I’ve cringed and I’ve rooted for Hayden and Jessie from the beginning. It’s a beautiful story, the pacing is excellent and the two narrators are amazing.

Give it a listen, it’s so metal! 😉🤘🏼💜

solid 4.5, great story, excellent narration

Believable story, great character development, funny, heart warming, heart wrenching... I thoroughly enjoyed it. Listened to it all in 3 days!

But the icing on the cake was the narration. Excellent pairing. Thank you for teaming up two of the best narrators. Please do it again.

Fun Fake Marriage

In general I avoid books about Hollywood because Hollywood is generally pretty gross. However, I was totally hooked by the idea of a “mail order husband” and that the entire point was to screw over the jerk of a dad who’s trying to portray himself as a liberal while hiding his true Republican/homophobic ways.

The story was pretty believable and it’s a testament to the narrators that I’d never read the story and didn’t want to ever stop and read faster because I was enjoying his narration so much!

There were times I wanted our guys to talk to one another a bit more, but in general, I felt like this was pretty authentic and plausible. The smexy times and feels felt appropriate and added to the story well.

I loved the two narrators contributions and thought it was an amazing listen!

Highly recommended in this form!

Fun, heartfelt, and brilliantly performed

This story is great, with just the right balance of dark, sweet, and wit, and the characters really come alive in the narrative and the dialog... but the performances make it a literal joy to experience. I would totally marry Greg Boudreaux and Michael Ferraiuolo for 1 million dollars. Sign me up.

Truly fantastic

This book was fantastic from
Beginning to end. It is a slow burner but worth the wait. The internal monologues the characters have are just hysterical and kept me laughing. I couldn’t recommend this book more and can’t wait to read more of his stuff

A delightful, low angst fake marriage romance

I really enjoyed this story mainly because of the narrators who are some of my favorite. They are delightful and fun. Their comic delivery is always on point which makes the angst so much more emotional. You really can’t go wrong with LA Witt and these narrators.

You would think this would be a hallmark movie!!

I loved every bit of it!! The DRAMA, SEX , the WHOLE STORYLINE was soo damn good!!

Seems to take forever For a very short climax

Seems to take forever to come to a seemingly Uneventful climax. But overall a good story just really really really long. Unfortunately I have a broken screen and it prevents me from giving the actual rating of this book that I would like to give.

AMAZING!

I absolutely LOVED loved this audiobook. Jesse’s father wants to run for governor. But Jesse needs people to know his father isn’t as liberal as he has led people to believe. When a Jesse came out to his parents his father told him that if he married a man he would be cut off from the family’s money. Jesse comes up with a plan. Hire someone to play his “husband”. He puts an ad out, marry me for a year and get 1.2 million dollars. Hayden needs money. He and his roommates are barely making ends meet. He sees Jesse’s ad and decides to answer it. When the 2 meet they are both surprised with how well they get along. How much they actually enjoy each other company. So can they pull this off? Will it really be a fake relationship? Or will feelings grow between the 2 men? And will Jesse get the proof he needs to take his father down? This book... I love every part of it. My heart broke for Jesse. He just wants to be accepted for who he is. And Hayden. He is so sweet. And he is the only one who stands up for Jesse.
Michael Ferraiuolo and Greg Boudreaux were the perfect choice for this book! They are both amazing narrators and really brought these characters to life. I can honestly say everything I’ve listened to by L A Witt I have loved but this one might be my favorite.

Sad, Sweet and Fun

Overall it's a pretty entertaining listen with great narration. The premise was good but there were a couple execution problems for me and I really feel like there were really no real consequences and I wish we had a little more of them together for the fall out.
