I admit the ending I didn't see coming....but it took forever to get there.....quite slow, redundant, and a lot was going on at the same time.
However it eventually all fell into place and I did enjoy it.
I would not wish for Wes and Ivy's relationship...they really are made for each other.

Great story

I have read/ listened to all of samantha downing's books. A twisted love story was fantastic from start to finish. Ivy and Wes antics had me wanting more.

Could’ve ended better

I really enjoyed this book. I wish it had a better ending. I feel like the ending just didn’t make any sense to me

A Toxic Little Page-Turner

I listened to this on Audible & the performance was fantastic. The narrators really brought each perspective to life & the multi-POV format made the story even more addictive. The plot itself was easy to follow but still managed to surprise me in places. I flew through it way faster than I thought & definitely couldn’t put it down! There were for sure moments where I found myself yelling at the characters to make better choices!

As much as I enjoyed it, some of the twists could have hit harder. They were good, but I think they had the potential to be great. Also, there is absolutely zero spice, so if you’re going in expecting anything steamy, just know you won’t find it here. & while I personally didn’t find it deeply triggering, the relationship dynamics are very toxic at times, so I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who’s sensitive to that.

Overall, it’s a fun, fast, slightly chaotic read that kept me hooked from start to finish. If you’re in the mood for something twisty, dramatic & bingeable, this one is worth picking up!

I liked it a lot.

I enjoyed reading about these twisted lovers. I felt like they needed to pay for their crimes, but at the same time I was rooting for them to live happily ever after too or at least as happy as two twisted people can.

ENAMORING, Addictive, twisty

Lots of unexpected twists, and they keep on coming each time you think you have it figured out. EXACTLY what I was looking for!!!

Side note: the glimpse inside Wes and Ivy’s fitful entanglement paints a beautiful, and quite impossibly comprehensible picture of what relationship addiction can look like. Those without history or knowledge of relationship addiction (which is a real thing), may not grasp the ferocity of the compulsion felt by the parties involved. Instead they may simply view these (addict) behaviors as desultory, or pointless, maybe even asking for it, but Downing develops her characters from A Twisted Love Story so masterfully that we begin to empathize with at least some of what they feel or how they get there… bonding, then rejection, panic, reconciliation, more rejection, anxiety, tension, etc

KARISSA VACKER makes every story exciting! Love her!!!

Rethink Relationships

This was a really good thriller that puts modern day relationships on their head and makes you question everything you think you know about love. Every single character was completely unlikable to the point that I was wondering if this was a modern retelling of Wuthering Heights. Do not go into this book hoping to cheer for anyone.
