Almost a 5 star. Dual not duet narration

Dual narration which mean the male does all male and female parts on his chapters and the female does all the female and male parts on her chapters. The narrators were great but I’m always hoping for duet style with this type of story. The only reason I’m giving this a 4 star was that the love story part of it felt bland. I felt like I was told they were instantly in love without actually being made to feel like they were connected and in love. Apart from that the story itself was fantastic. The mystery and revenge were on point. It made of for what was lacking. Also it’s not as spicy as I thought it would be especially based on the cover art. 2-3🌶️ for the whole series. This really should have been on full book instead of 5 mini books. It’s worth the credit if you get it when it’s on sale. Otherwise I would wait for any new sale offers in the future

Great start and I’m intrigued!

This series has been sitting in my library and I’m excited to start listening. “The Risk” is a suspenseful, thrilling and amazing start to the “Mindf**k” series.

I love synopsis for this whole story. The woman is out there taking vengeance on people that have wronged her and a man who’s the good guy FBI agent out there taking the bad guys down in the legal way. Since it’s the first book of five, this is all about setting the scene for Lana and Logan. The profiler not knowing he’s actually got the one he’s looking for is literally in his bed. Lana isn’t one of the bad guys, she takes care of the bad guys. There’s snippets of her history and I’m invested. I can’t wait for the next book.

Marie Hawkins and TJ Clark are new to me narrators and I’ve enjoyed listening to them bring Lana and Logan to life. They have both done a great job and I’m excited to continue with them narrating the rest of the series.

Narrator issue

The story is good but the male narrator’s voice was annoying to me. I’m looking forward to the rest of the story and what happens w/Lana and Logan.

I’m so excited that this series has made it to audio! I love these books. The narration is perfect! Can’t wait for the whole series to come out!
