Funny, witty, emotional

Wonderful narrator. Loved every bit of this audible book. Definitely give it a listen, you won’t regret it!

The narrator of the audiobook did amazing. The main character got on my nerves sometimes but that happens. Great story love the idea of it

What the hell was that ending?

Seriously, what. the. hell. This has quite a bit of comedic relief but the author wrote the story to be realistic… she wasn’t pulling her punches so be aware of that before listening. There’s gore, there’s a lot of death, and there are no rainbows waiting for you at the end. But it was extremely entertaining and I liked her take on zombies.

Let me start by saying—Jenna Rose is my absolute favorite author. Her book The Perfect Marriage is what first made me fall in love with reading. She could write the phonebook and sell it, and I would read it.

This story was different from the thrillers she usually writes—it was both emotional and deeply moving. I’m usually not into zombie-themed books, but this one completely worked for me. Beneath the wild, apocalyptic plot there was a heartfelt message about connection, hope, and finding meaning—even when the world falls apart.

I really connected with the characters and could feel the love the FMC had for her dad, even through the pain of her childhood.

I really enjoyed this book—right up until the ending. It felt a bit like a cliffhanger, and I actually went back and listened to the last two minutes three times just to make sure I hadn’t missed anything.

Worth the READ!!!

more then I hoped

This book was all I could hope for it and more It had me generally laughing and hanging on the edge of my seat while giggling and kicking my feet there was a time when I was listening to it in the car and I was screaming that I knew a certain part was going to happen i'\nM honestly sad that it's over and I have it for my shelf ready to reread one day

Gory, emotional, and absolutely stunning!

I don’t even know what to say, it’s so different from what I normally read and I absolutely loved it. The twists and the gory descriptions were everything, it was so easy to picture. I did listen to the audiobook and it was such a good emotional and suspenseful audiobook - very satisfying listen!

At the ending I literally thought WTF Jeneva— Then I saw your review, I will definitely be picking up the second!!

Really surprised

Normally not my genre to dabble in, but I thought why not when I saw it. Something “spooky” for October. Was SO much more than that. Enemies to lovers, and pure badassery moments. I heard there is gonna be a book two and I cannot waitttt cause I need more!
