Love Fae Romance

Such a great story. I just wish they kept to 1 narrator. The female narrator is amazing the male not so much. He takes this weird inhale at the end of every sentence and very monotonous way of speaking. Plus when he reads the writing sounds very amateurish and the male lead sound week. But when the female narrator is reading the story is captivating and the male lead is very appealing!

Loved the ups and downs…

This is definitely a unique story and slow burn, but once the match strikes - it burns! Loved the cliffhanger as well, but I couldn’t stop hearing the breath that Liam would take after every line. Pretty soon it was all I could hear. He has such a lovely voice, I wish I didn’t hyper focus like I did. Either way, excited for the next installment.

Everything! Ahh!!! So amazing!! It’s not a perfect story of course! But amazing!!!

I LOVED it!!! And I was soo happy that our main characters here found their passion for each other, well honestly! I think they’re at the beginning of something great! Haha! I love it, narrators were alright, tho I have to agree that the voice for Bastian was breathy haha! But I feel like don’t change the narrator for him now bc someone different may ruin it but I don’t know! It was good! Got used to it!
But an Awesome and Wonderful read cannot wait for book 3!!!! :):):)

Great Kat performance. Horrible male performance

What i would give to tell my past self not to buy this audiobook… i HATED the male performance. He had no inflection in his voice 95% of the time, sounded like a robot and i hat to put on 0.9% so i could understand his phrases. The other 5% of the time he had exactly 1 inflection that made all his phrases sound the effing same and i could pay attention to save my life. I wanted to throw my phone away most of his chapters. Sorry for the rant…

Bad male reader

I liked this story but they need to get a new Bastian. The guy reading is terrible.

Great Story, Great Female Narrator; Male Narrator Not Great

If Bridgerton and ACOTAR had a baby…

Pros:
- Unique magical elements
- Delicious slooooow-burn romance scenes (there was only hand & mouth stuff in the whole first book)
- Court intrigue
- Curvy, competent heroine
- Slick, protective, pro-consent, morally grey ShadowDaddy MMC
- Deep character development of the FMC (Read the TW for abuse)
- Female narrator is fantastic, though her version of Bastian’s voice makes me picture Rupert Everett
- Plot twists and turns you won’t see coming

Cons:
- You’re going to want to shake the female main character a lot… it takes her a frustrating long time to come to her senses
- Male narrator has an unnatural vocal cadence that makes it really hard to listen through his chapters. He ends every sentence by going up an octave and taking a breath and he sounds more like he’s reading than like he’s the character speaking. I find it grating and it really takes me out of the zone when listening. I only make it through his chapters because I know the female narrator will be back to speaking soon.

The male voice is awful

Good story, book dragged down by male narrator

Story is ok, interesting world although the romance is a bit fast and predictable.
The worst thing is the male narrator. Absolutely horrendous. I found myself waiting for the female lead’s part with impatience because he completely destroyed the male lead part.

Love love the story but the male narrator is killing me

I love this story but the male narrator is ruining it for me. I’m half way through and struggling. I love him in Kats POV.

EPIC story!

I loved this book just as much as the first! I just wish the male voice didn’t end every sentence with the same emphasis… it made the Bastian chapters difficult to listen to.
