Could've been 4☆ for pronunciation, still ♡ story

loved the story, I read this genre a lot and I've never heard chi pronounced "Cher". Its small I know but it slowly wears on the listener if you've heard it differently. Not big enough of a deal to lower my Review thoughlol😎👍

Lyrically Beautiful Epic

Well written Wuxia novels are hard to come by in English. Tao's book was welcome surprise in that regard. This combined with Travis Baldree's excellent narration made for an enjoyable experience. Can't wait to listen to the next book in this series!

Solid opener

This book was a lot of fun. Great characters, great setting, great story, and a great narrator.

Likeable Main Character, Underdog Story

This was a good start to what will hopefully be a good story. I found it difficult to follow for a while, but then I picked up and I enjoyed the story. I will purchase book two and see if it continues to be enjoyable.
