Forge of Destiny is a story of clashing characters, and advancing power. A mixture of the newer genre of progression fantasy with older mythological themes and a strong focus on the people behind the powers, and the way those powers shape the people and world. Originally a mix between a Forum game and a CYOA novel, which became a web serial and then the books seen here, its unique origin has lent itself to a long form and intensely character focused story, filled with a ready progression in both power and relationships. Yrsillar began as a forum handle, taken in younger days which has since been synonomous with the forum stories and games written under it. Its been quite a bumpy ride, reaching this point where what was once a hobby nickname has come to be a genuine career! Something which Yrsillar can only express his greatest thanks for to the many people who supported him in the lead up. As the person behind the pen name, Yrsillar is a huge fan of tapletop roleplaying games, fantasy novels, and the older era of RPGs. He enjoys running games for his friends, and spending far too much time playing around with strategy games.
