A bloody bargain. An impossible choice. An inevitable war.

With the Lonely Death spreading and a rebellion ignited within the kingdom of Desia, Lea finally knows the truth. At least—she thinks she does. But the revelation of Gray's identity is only the beginning.

Guided by an ancient prophecy, Lea embarks on a quest to harness the power of the moonflowers and save the lives of her people, but this power will not come without a cost. Lea must confront her innermost demons, reopening old wounds in order to fulfill the prophecy and end the reign of the wicked Black King.

In the spellbinding sequel to A Wildflower in the Wind, Lea is forced to plunge deeper into her magic where the line between victory and chaos blurs, leaving her to wonder if the flames within her will render her unstoppable, or perhaps, irreversibly consumed in the fire.

Intended for mature listeners.

This was even better than book one. The narrator as always is great! I’m sad I can’t listen to book 3 yet. This tory has evolved all of the main characters and I can’t wait to see where book 3 takes them!

Gut Punch

Left me in tears. This was full of heart break and full of twist can not wait on book 3.

Plot twist

Better than book one, but the main characters are still annoyingly stupid and naive at times. Some of the dialog just isn't realistic and sounds juvenile. It doesn't help that the narrator makes most of the characters sound like teenagers, but at least she isn't as monotone in this recording. The plot of the story wasn't bad, though. Kept me interested for most of it. Will continue on to book 3.

Annoying characters but good plot.

I’m honestly on the fence about whether to continue. The characters often come across as juvenile, and the heroine in particular feels immature. The story leans heavily on exaggerated reactions and drawn-out “heartfelt” moments that didn’t add much for me. Many of the emotions read more like teenage drama, which made some responses feel disconnected and overdone. Add in the lengthy, unnecessary inner monologues and I found myself struggling not to roll my eyes. Even the spice felt flat and underdeveloped, lacking the tension needed to make it truly engaging. Overall, this one just didn’t quite work for me.

Mehh…

wish I didn't buy this. first story was average and this one is even worse. now all the characters are telling their view point. really bad. I had a road trip and should have listened to something old.
