Gnat must balance obligations to his almighty suzerains against a desire to advance humanity's position in space, and his home planet's search for ever more allies. Although Earth's masters are not big fans of his independent ways, the great war has shifted the historic balance of forces, and the Geckho are no longer as powerful as they once were, leaving them with no choice but to abide the Kung of Earth's antics.

So, will Earth be able to take this chance and free itself from alien control completely? And if so, is it even a good idea?

And that means one of the human leaders will have to back down.

excellent book

I found the story unique and very interesting and look forward to seeing the next installment of this series of books. The only downside it was too short.

another banger that leaves me wanting more. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Took a little break

After taking a 6 month long break from the series I jumped back in with high expectations and was a bit let down with a story that focused on how great the main character is and how easily he is getting everything he wants or needs. It’s starting to feel like everything is being handed to him without the fun story of striving or growing to get to the goal. Given how good the overall series is, I haven’t lost faith and will hope for a more significant story in the next book.

another home run

this is long awaited and much appreciated. but seriously guy, you need to start putting two books together these are barely long enough to scratch the itch. and then too need to wait until 2024 for the next one is a travesty. good job.

this book is juet fantastic i love the book and hope everyone takes the time and use a credit to listen to this one. i can't ever stop listening to it. and i love the authors his book are always amazing.

Love this series

Still good but a bit predictable

Michael Atamanov continues the series in a somewhat predictable fashion of facing new adversaries, continued intrigue from unknown threats on his life, near-death battles from an enemy from another galaxy along with steady level progression. Even so, it was an entertaining listening experience made all the more so from the superior narrating performance of Neil Hellegers.

This series is definitely one of my favorites!

It’s so hard to find a series that continues to be good as it is gets longer and longer. Not so with this series. It has continued to be satisfying and intriguing, not to mention it’s a lot of fun.
