Weird edits

Something happened with their editing. There are places where the voice doesn’t match in the middle of the chapter or near the end of a chapter that sounded like a bad voice over.

Otherwise the story was ok. I feel it was a bit rushed. I liked book 1 better.

Fantasticly woven story from start to finish!

This story is a phenomenal creation using Norse mythology. The ending of this story with this book leaves you a feeling of completion but also allows the mind to wonder about what could come next. The narrators did a fantastic job of pulling you directly into the world in which Freya and Bjorn inhabit. But this would not have been possible without Danielle L Jensen creating a fantasticly woven story from start to finish!

Obsessed! I loved this book!

This book was fantastic. I loved it so much. The narrators were perfect. I couldn’t stop listening.

Well earned victory!

I preordered this because I’m obsessed with narrator Nina Yndis’ voice! She reminds me so much of Freya from “Vikings: Valhalla” (Netflix). But they also added a male narrator for Bjorn 🤩 Swedish actor, Nikolas Salmon. His “viking” accent wasn’t as thick as hers, which was a nice way of othering Bjorn from Freya.

The author killed it with the plot DEV👏EL👏OP👏MENT!👏 Freya does not forgive easily but this isn’t a repeat of her blind rage in Book 1. She used to be fueled by this sense of justice, to overcome corruption with power. But now she’s weighed down by guilt and has a more mature outlook on her place in the war.

Bjorn is groveling!! As he should! He is so resolute in his love for Freya, I was swooning all over the place. He still stumbles, but I prefer a flawed and developing male MC. I hate when it seems like the guy has it all figured out while the girl has growing up to do (aka the way Bjorn was in the first book).

Best of all is the villain in this duology! The twists and turns build up into a massive crescendo worthy of this amazing fantasy.

Perfection

The perfect ending!! The plot twist was definitely twisting and the character development…chefs kiss 🤌🏻 I was blown away by the detail in every scene. It felt like I was watching a movie. I absolutely did not want this to be done.

Excellent story

Who doesn’t love a good duology?? This one is epic and incredible. Norse gods, war, love and more. Great characters and fast paced. Highly recommend this.

Action packed!

Loved every minute of it! The traps the deception the twists, DLJ never disappoints. A worthy ending to the one called Born in Fire.

Gripping

This story quickly became a favorite. It was written so well and the story is sooo good.
