Hand down a must listen/read

She never disappoints. Loved everything about this book. I am really forward to seeing what comes next. I can’t wait for book 2.

Obsessed

Greek gods meets post-apocalyptic future where Alexis is an orphan brought up in poverty. When she’s thrown into a massacre due to finding out she’s not a plain old human her journey to finding herself is a crazy one. High stakes, witty banter and hilarious inner monologues have made this one of my favorite reads of the year 🖤

Dual POV!

The story was captivating and overall hilarious but if you have voice actors for some chapters you should definitely have them voice ALL of their parts… not just the chapters from their POV it was a bit distracting but the main narrator was great!

Liked the book…the audio not so much

I was really excited about the audio version of this book but immediately was disappointed with the way the voice actors were set up.

A top read of the year!

This is absolutely a top 5, maybe top 3 for me for 2024! The story has great pacing throughout and Alexis’ inner dialogue was fantastic! Great quirky and relatable FMC who has learned from childhood to only rely on herself and to trust no one. Absolutely did NOT see the twist in its entirety! I guessed maybe 30% of it?? I love when good writing can surprise and then reveal how masterfully the web of deceit/truth was cast throughout the entire book— absolutely fantastic writing!

Audio was also top notch. I recommend pairing the start with the pdf offered (or the KU book) to help lay out the world and its players, but the narrators were great!
