A must listen

This is by far the best rendition of A Christmas Carol I have heard. Excellent narration and superb dramatization. Most everyone has read the story, but this dramatization brings it to life. One will feel as if they are actually there and experiencing the action as it happens. So glad I gave this one a listen.

I love it

Thank you, Audible, for making this free for its members. For starters, I've seen a couple of movie adaptations of A Christmas Carol, but I don't have a clear memory of reading the book itself. This js why I couldn't help but anticipate how the scenes were really written by Charles Dickens. While all movies have same plot, being adaptations, I think that the book remains the best version. I really love the ending with Scrooge and Cratchit. It really was heartwarming

Why only 4 stars?
Well, as much as I love the production, the narration, and the effects, I find the narration volume of some characters too soft at the first scenes during the First Stave. The narrator's and Scrooge's volumes were okay, but the visitors in the counting house had low volume. It was good though that the next scenes had normal volume, so I had a good time listening to it.

This is a great telling of the classic story.

My only gripe, and a small ones, is the voice used for Christmas Present does not match what I have come to expect.

Am above average experience

A completely serviceable Christmas Carol. The performance of Scrooge left something to be desired. However, the audio effects were compelling.

Very nice radio drama

Like most people, I've watched, read, listened to, endured, and enjoyed many versions of this famous story. While there's nothing ground breaking in this version, it is quite enjoyable. Recommended.

Great adaptation, poor delivery

This is a great adaptation of A Christmas Carol, second only to Patrick Stewart's. However, the program is split between five different files so it interrupts the immersion into the story when I had to manually start the next file when one ended. If Audible fixes that, then this would be a five star highly recommended listen.

Fun Multi-voice Performance of Classic Story

It was so much fun to hear the classic novel performed by an incredibly talented cast. We listened to it in the evenings leading up to Christmas. Loved it.
