Publisher's summary

Ghosts can haunt the living....

King and Slater are independent operators, outlawed from their government for good, free to deliver vigilante justice to those who need it most. Las Vegas, with its murky history and seedy underworld, serves as the perfect hunting ground. Below the hedonism, away from the bright lights and alluring fantasy, there’s an entrenched web of corruption.

They offer their services to a woman about to serve a decade in prison for a crime she didn’t commit, and what begins with the infiltration of an unlicensed club in Chinatown unravels into an all-out war against retired cops, bent judges, a sociopath District Attorney, and the legion of hired muscle who serve them.

It’s a good thing King and Slater are bred for mayhem....

Another good story, but...

Mr Rogers would do well to buy a thesaurus; he is overly-fond of misusing the verb 'skewer'. He loses one star for the freqent use of unwanted, profane expletives.
Mr Kenerly should invest in elocution lessons.
He loses one star for his very distracting habit of pronouncing words which end in 'ng' with a hard 'g' at the end. This is especially irritating when he pronounces King as 'Kinguh'.
Also, why does Audible use artists who have not read the books for which they illustrate the cover art? It seems a bit foolish and deceptive.😕

Action packed storyline from the today’s unfortunate headlines.

Good storyline, need to develop characters a little more but good overall. Good action book. I do recommend it.

Loved the Book!!! But

I struggled to put the book down, the book was awesome, really enjoy the story, sitting on the edge of my seat. but I really hopefully for a different ending.
Redemption for some dirt bags should not be given.

Slater and King VS Corruption

I keep waiting for Slater or King to fall down on the job, for some overly liberal viewpoint to breed disappointment, but it hasn't happened yet. The moral dilemmas keep coming, the action continues and the decisions, even when I don't fully agree with them, make sense. Sodom and Gomorrah were condemned because of corrupt judges which destroyed the roots of any and every kind of Justice. Corrupt judges doing the same thing today is growing more prevalent by the year, even seemingly by the day. Makes me wish King and Slater were real...though the story is realistic!! Their ladies are no slouches either. Can't wait to start the next one 😃

Mostly kept me on the edge of my seat!

I've been stuck on this series since the beginning. Always action packed but this book focused on their human side. Throw in a few damsels in distress and you have an action packed killing crew making sure their loved ones were ok.
They did a fantastic job of tying all the knots and moving forward to Vegas! This book is for those who like good vs bad...and like gruesome fighting never knowing who will win each fight. Last thought, I felt like the beginning of the series King had the accent and Slater vise versa and struggle with the narrator because I feel like the accents get mixed.

Would be better without the females.

I enjoy the operators and the storyline however feel it would be better without the females. I understand the one being brought in as a handler and introducing lovers is one thing but trying to bring in a completely untrained female and suddenly having her performing as an operator it leaves much to be desired. I just feel like these books would be much better off without the female part.

Good series read review

The series is growing on me with each book. It happeriod it has decent characters.. My issue and why I gave this 2 stars is I don't know what happened to the writing In this book and the one before it But it seems like every other line is " she said" or he "he said" There's a million different ways to write It's almost painful to listen to over and over and over he said she said she said she said she said hes sad holy f*** man find other words
