trump derangement syndrome is obvious

as good as always but the TDS shows through too much and hurts the immersion.

Why did Mayberry go political

I’ve always liked these books I’ve enjoyed them for many years. I do not like it when an author uses the current political climate to further the cause of their book as in sales increases I feel like this book was a bigger shot at our current administration that it was a good read as always love Rey Porter he is the voice of Joe Ledger anyway Im just really disappointed in this book

As always....the absolute best !

I listened to the first Joe Ledger novel and was hooked immediately. Since then I have pre ordered every one there after and have yet to EVER be disappointed in not only the amazing story and writing talent from Mr. Maberry but the phenomenal narration by Ray Porter. These two individuals are absolute masters of their craft and I am ever grateful that they chose to share it with the rest of us.....

I hope this review sways you into listening to these two gentlemen tell their tale.

Maberry and Porter Deliver Excellence Again

This series has been amazing since book one. The characters, the action, the creative science-fiction, and the amazing narration play equal parts in making the Joe Ledger series such outstanding literature.

Despite the series’ overall excellence, admittedly I found the previous two books to be slightly less enjoyable. While I can’t explain which element of the writing was slightly lacking, for me it just was. Deep Silence provides renewed vigor, and has me loving the series as much as I had previously.

If you are reading this review then you likely know all about the Ledger stories. Without delivering spoilers, there are several past elements that return. There is certainly an overt political agenda to this story, though it is likely that most fans will enjoy it anyway. Regardless of my own political perspective, I applaud Maberry for his candor.

Ray Porter is the top narrator, in my opinion. There are several greats, but he reigns supreme. He always seems to deliver his absolute best performances in this series, and he nailed it again.

Seriously, this is how the Joe Ledger universe would play out in today's political climate. No doubt about it. Great writing and narration as usual.
