Could Not Put It Down

Since book 3 came out and I bought it, I spent every moment I didn’t need to focus on something specific listening to it. Genuinely one of if not my favorite series so far.

I started the series a couple months ago now I think and was so hyped that the 3rd book would be coming out soon. Originally I was planning on spacing out my reading so it didn’t have to come to an end again so soon, but like I said before that didn’t happen lol.

I was half asleep during Freddy’s time in solitude and I felt like I was losing my mind😂

Time to patiently wait for the next book🙏

Great book, great narrator. Perfectly paced, lots of action, very interesting listen. Can't wait for the next!!

Character-driven certified fresh LitRpg series just getting started!

I'm not going to lie when I picked up this series I thought it would be good old fashioned gritty litrpg fun and by the third book he would be so busted and overpowered that all the story would be wrung out of it by the.

I have never been so happy to have been so wrong. This series is just getting started and I can easily see this talented author taking this amazing MC to 10-15 books easily just with what has been introduced so far and every chapter nonstop action, riveting character interactions and development! The ease of new and genuinely interesting, memorable and unique characters being introduced all the time speaks to the talent of the author who uses them to paint a vivid picture of the bleak and brutal world 200 years post-integration.

Without getting preachy or perscriptive the author sneakily takes you on a philosophical journey through the lens of power and lets characters shine in the moments they have it or lose it. Not every character is likeable and it's clearly intended that way. I absolutely love seeing Freddy face similar situations to other main characters and comparing and contrasting what makes him so special. I have fallen in love with his special brand of dealing with the shittyness life can throw at you and in a world where he's still quite weak when everyone else is op he shows what strength really is.

Finally the narrator is top notch and fits the MC perfectly. I can't imagine a better one.

Peak

Compelling, visceral mixture of brutal detail and a phenomenal narrator pouring his effort into drawing you in. I got to the end and stared at the wall for an hour in disbelief, I really wanna know what happens next.
