I almost forgot ….

The Hollow Boys had me in a chokehold for months!!! If you’re second guessing starting this bc you think it can’t compare, or will sour in comparison… just read it!! You won’t regret it I promise!!! The scene where all the Hollow boys came together I almost cried!!! (It was not an emotional scene yet there I was lol)

Next Gen!

If you enjoyed the Hollow Boys series, you'll love this.The River Styx Heathens are the next generation. Even though this is a standalone series, it would help to read The Hollow Boys series. I had a big smile anytime the boys were in the picture.
Monty Jay is a fantastic storyteller. She paints a picture in every scene. You feel like you're there and feeling all the emotions. I can't wait for the next one.
Duet narration by Liam Dicosimo and Michelle Sparks. They were perfect for these characters.

Absolutely in love!!

These narrators were fantastic in bringing these character to life on audio! I felt the heat and tension in both their desire and disdain for one another, giving me everything I LOVE with enemies to lovers and hitting me so very in the feels! And those forehead touches, gahhh my heart!

ready for more!

I have been really excited to read this author since I’ll be seeing them at a book signing in October! And after finishing this, I’m already excited to read more. I, of course, didn’t realize that this was a second generation, so I’ll definitely be going back and reading The Hollow Boys series. I absolutely adore poetic writing, especially while reading romance books. It feeds my soul for some reason and this book did just that. This author did a fantastic job at really sucking me into the story. It was poetic, dark, great storytelling, and even greater characters. Jude and Seraphina go through it! Truthfully, I didn’t know how they were gonna make it out alive, but somehow they managed to. And boy was it worth it. I swear my heart broke for the both of them many times but by the end of it, it was put back together again. The audio for this book was absolutely phenomenal. Michelle Sparks and Liam Dicosimo really brought these two characters to life. I’ve never, that I can remember, listened to Liam narrate a book before and I really enjoyed his voice. Especially for Jude, it was a literal perfect fit. Michelle does a great job every time I listen to her do an audiobook. She literally never disappoints. Highly recommend listening to this book on audio!

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It took me a bit to get through because life is awesome and gets in the way of reading. But if I was able to, I probably would’ve read this in one sitting. I definitely need to go back and reread the first gen books and then come back and listen to this again.

Oh. My. God. Jude Sinclair is basically the 90’s bad boy heartthrob that every girl wanted but he only wanted the geeky girl. Wrath of an exile had everything: trauma, revenge, The Hollow Boys, and world building with effing hot spice. I can not wait for more of the River Styx Heathens
