I just want to rate the performance…

The narrator ought to know how to pronounce city names. Seriously, “Salt” Saint Marie is not how you pronounce Sault (“Soo”) Saint Marie. That’s just embarrassing, especially for someone who probably pretends to be some sort of Native Rights apologist. Doesn’t the narrator know about the Sault Tribe?

Anywho, I’ll update this review after I finish the story. For now, I hope the narrator knows my disdain for her mispronunciation.

I habe absolutely fell in love with all of these characters. I love Dornbush's writing style, research, attention to detail. Huge fan.

Loved from the start

I have enjoyed this series for the beginning. The characters that Jennifer has gave us and wait for the development of each one.

Unfinished

I have anticipated this book and found it a little bit hard at times to sit through. I’m wondering if the book was plotted this way because in the future we will get to revisit Emily’s world and the loose ends in this book could possibly be tied up. Though my cons for this one outweighs my cons. It was still gripping and intriguing in most parts. I love how the author was able to weave a character so intricately that you both can despise their actions but empathize with the character as well. I wish that Emily and Addisons investigative expertise was utilized as well as it was in previous books, this one they just seemed to be scattered— to me which is very unlike them. When Addison and Emily combine their minds together, it’s like watching a painter paint a full picture, you find the beauty in their skill along with their art. This book however it just seemed like they were taking guesses & moving blindly around when they were actually just swimming in a very small pond. The narrator was excellent as always. Again hoping that this was just plotted this way for the next book. Fingers crossed.

Absolutely Love this series

I hope there is a next one. The characters are fantastic and so is the narrator. take the time and read or listen.

I must say this is my favorite book series ever I love the author n the narrator is amazing , u must start at the beginning to understand the series but I promise u Emily Nike and the hole gang will not do u wrong this book plus all the rest I have had done within 24 hours I can not wait for the next chapter in Emily and Nikes lives

She Loves Him .....She Loves Him Not, etc...

I have read the books but this back and forth crap of who Emily wants to be with (or love); got old real quick. And I wish Emily just had a little more humility. In some parts, Emily seems giving, but Wow, I really had hoped that she & Nick would have resolved their relationship by now. If they aren't together in the next book, if there is one, then I'm done with this series.

Plot

More of the story should have been about Nick and Emily. I think readers are invested in those characters and want more of their story.
