Fun story, great performance.

The story was a lot of fun but I must admit that the narrator really brought it to life for me. Some of the characters were hilarious! I rarely find myself laughing out loud but I did on this book. Super fun!

Awesome book

I truly enjoyed this cozy book. There was moments when I laughed out loud. I'm going to order the next 2 books. I see there are 5 books in the series, but Audible only has 3. I hope Audible acquire the other 2 books soon.

motive motive motive!

The story was well written and kept my interest the entire time. The narrator was excellent he certainly mangled the songs perfectly. it was a fun read and good characters with enough detail for good character development. I look forward to his next book.

Murder at the Spring Ball

Excellent! I adore forays into other times and seldom enjoy books or movies set in the present day. Mr. Brown has created a family in my grandparents' day I enjoy visiting with! Bravo! This is a great book with lovable characters and a great mystery. I know I will enjoy visiting with them again!

The story

Chrissy was a bit annoying in his wimpiness. But the mystery was well done with a good twist at the end.

Take one determined grandfather, his rather shy teenaged grandson, a house party full of caricatures of relations and neighbors and toss in a murder. That's the major basics. The set-up takes a few chapters because the cast of characters is so zany, but it's worth the slog. Loved it.
Voice actor George Blagden has a vast repertoire of voices to go with this bunch and really made it more fun.

Excellent in both Kindle and Audible

Great, sometimes crazy ideas, nut it all makes sense. I’m about to go get the next book in Audible. Highly recommended. Be sure to listen to the author’s note at the end.
