Welcome to Silver Pines—where the coffee’s strong, the locals are quirky, and even the furniture has secrets.

After years away, Clare Garner is back in her hometown, happily restoring antique pieces and running her family’s furniture gallery. With her high school sweetheart, Jackson Barrett, by her side and a big corporate project on the horizon, life is finally falling into place.

That is, until Blake Catalano—her swoon-worthy college ex—waltzes back into town with a smile and something he’s definitely not telling her.

Things take a sharp turn when a body turns up, and suddenly both Blake and Jackson are suspects in the murder. With tensions rising and the rumor mill in overdrive, Clare must untangle the mystery—before someone else takes a permanent break from small-town charm.

Perfect for fans of slow-burn romance, small-town drama, and mysteries wrapped in charm, Murder at Maisie’s is the cozy escape you’ve been craving.

I listened to Murder at Maisie’s on audio through Blue Nose Audio and had such a great time with it. This one really delivers on that small town cozy vibe while still keeping the tension running just under the surface. I loved how the mystery unfolded piece by piece. Just when I thought I had something figured out, another detail slipped in and shifted everything. It kept me guessing in the best way.

The setting feels lived-in and warm, the kind of place where everyone’s connected, for better or worse, and that made the stakes feel personal. The narration fit the tone beautifully and made it so easy to sink right into the world. There’s something about the way the suspense and the everyday moments were blended that made this feel charming and intriguing at the same time.

If you’re in the mood for a cozy mystery with twists that sneak up on you, this is one I’d definitely recommend.

Claire Garner lives in Silver Pines and runs a custom furniture business. She also loves restoring antique furniture and hopes to purchase an armoire at an estate sale. When she goes to see the item upstairs she finds the armoire damaged and inside is the body of a woman whom Claire is bidding against in a major corporate project. The suspects turn out to be her high school ex, Jackson Barrett, and Blake Catalano, her ex from college. Knowing them so well she knows neither of them could do it and she conducts her own investigation to prove she right.
A great start to a series. I enjoyed the setting and the town and all the interesting characters. The performance was also enjoyable.

Murder at Maisie's is my first book by Lyla Blue, and I am looking forward to continuing the series! This small town cozy mystery, with a touch of slow-burn second chance romance, was an entertaining whodunit that I was able to finish in a day.

The residents of Silver Pines, especially Clare, Jackson, and their friends, are delightfully relatable and a touch off beat, making a perfect set up for future books. The plot was entertaining, clues cleverly laid out, and overall, made for an enjoyable fall afternoon.

I love a duet narration and with Sebastian York and Eleanor Caudill performing, Murder at Maisie's did not disappoint! They brought the characters and the town of Silver Pines to life. Both narrators did a fabulous job creating distinct voices for the characters, making the story easy to follow on audio. It may seem like a trivial detail to some, but I enjoyed the sound effect of a cell phone buzzing during one of the scenes.

This audiobook is sure to be enjoyed by cozy mystery fans looking for a new series!

This was such a fun and cozy no spice small town murder mystery!
The author did such a great job on the descriptions that I really could feel like I was in this small town! I absolutely had a blast while listening to this one and I would definitely say it is a great palette cleanser! The plot was good and with the murder mystery added in it really kept me engaged and wanting to figure out who did what and why.

I was lucky enough to listen to the audiobook of this one
And I can honestly say the duet narration done by Eleanor Caudill & Sebastian York was amazing! Both narrators brought the characters to life! And their performances were amazing! Eleanor Caudill is a new narrator to me and I really enjoyed Eleanor’s performance and can’t wait to hear more from her!

I will definitely be listening to more of this book series!

Overall, I think it’s a very good book especially for someone looking for that small town. Everybody knows everybody vibe. Definitely reminds me of one of those Hallmark murder mystery movies. The narration was fantastic. I think they picked the perfect people to read it. Looking forward to listening to the rest of the series when it comes out.

Very cozy.

I really enjoyed Murder at Maisie’s! The story is fun, cozy, and full of charm. The narrators make it even better—I love that there’s both a female and male voice for their characters. It makes the story feel real and easy to get lost in. A great listen!

This story was good and fun. The murder mystery was a good plot. The murdered and the motives weren't my favorite though, overall it was a good read.

The narration was super good. Sebastian York is an amazing narrator, I can listen to him all day. He was great voicing these MCs I liked how different they were.

It was my first time listening to Eleanor Caudill, and she was a pleasure to listen to. She did a great job. I enjoy listening to the story.

I do love me a sweet little small town murder mystery and Lyla Blue has given me just that🥹 This book was so much fun with the subtle hints at romance, a little detective work, and an estate sale gone wrong. Add in the small town feel with all the drama that brings with it and you have the interesting little tale of Murder at Maisie's. Sebastian and Eleanor did an amazing job voicing these characters. Eleanor is a new to me voice actor but I'm super excited to hear more of her work. Definitely looking forward to listening to  more of this series. Thanks so much to Blue Nose for this ALC💙💙

This was such a charming start to the Silver Pines Mysteries! Lyla Blue delivers a classic cozy murder mystery with a delightful small-town vibe, quirky side characters, and a heroine you can’t help but root for. Clare’s love of furniture restoration added a unique touch, and the setting, complete with nosy neighbors and old flames, made the mystery feel layered and personal.

I listened to the audiobook and absolutely loved the narration. The duet performance brought Clare and the suspects to life, adding depth and warmth to the story. It made the twists even more engaging and the emotional beats more heartfelt.
