Ugh

Weak women make me nuts- the way the main character constantly second guesses herself is maddening and ridiculous. I will not be moving on to future sequels…

I took a chance and found a great series! Some of the plot is predictable but I still enjoyed the book and look forward to the next book in this series

Loved

This was a such a good read. I loved the story, and the short story after, I also enjoyed getting the sneak peak into book 2 and immediately purchased book 2. Highly recommend. The character development and growth is amazing and well written. I think this story started good and got even better as I kept reading it. I loved the story and can’t wait to finish the series!

I love this series. Good author, The narrator is talented…it’s a fun and easy listen.

The narrator kept me engaged.

If I run out of credits I will finish the book series since it’s free. However, this storyline has a weird pace. Maybe a one off huge novel could’ve helped.

I have Mixed Emotions

I truly have mixed feelings about this book. The Storyline is So good. It sets up the plot really well but the unnecessary details made me constantly wanting to stop listening to it or fast forward to the important parts. 


For example when she is sneaking into her house through the basement, she stops to think about a dehumidifier. Who does that? 


It almost felt like the author needed to add more things in to make it longer. 


She did amazing at having my anxiety up & hating certain characters. The build up was on point so I tip my hat to her for that for sure. 


But Oh that Becca. I lost count at how many times I wanted to smack her upside her head for being stupid. I've never known a person who is that oblivious to what is going on in front of them. I found myself saying out loud "Damn Becca you're so dumb," a few times. 


The Storyline itself keeps you intrigued to know what happens with Becca & what the hell happened to Jessica. Not to mention, why are the "ghosts" so evil? Seriously.. 


So Yes I will be listening to the 2nd book in the series though I truly hope we get more of the backstory, less unnecessary details & a Becca that pulls up her big girl pants & shows more Confidence in finding out the truth. 


I give it 3 stars ⭐⭐⭐ & recommend it if you love mystery & suspense & don't really mind a openly naive main character.

Amazing!!

This isn’t usually the style book that I enjoy reading but I went out on lamb. Tried it and it was amazing. Can we guess in the entire time wonderful Contant great narrator definitely give it a try.

Very good book

The lead woman in the book will make you pull your hair out! Very weak, and has a “poor me” attitude. I love the narrator January , because she being the book to life. She makes you want to listen. The lead women will make you frustrated, but the way the narrator reads, it pulls you back in. It’s a very good story overall, if you can get over the annoying lead woman “Becca”😂

Decent story, but narration is distracting

The basic story is pretty decent and I might have enjoyed this more if the narrator didn't whine so much in character. Her mail voices are flat out annoying. Nearly every character exchange has over the top and condescending dialogue. But I can't tell if its just poorly written or poorly delivered by the narrator. I only stuck with it because the story had some promise.

loved this book, keeped me in suspense till the very end. Can't wait to read book 2. Really want to know what happened to Jessica.
