To the outside world, I had a life that most would say was privileged, but to me, it felt like the walls were caving in and trying to crush me with their rules of conformity. Little did I know that my life was about to change forever. One drive was all it took. One decision to turn down a wrong road, led to one heated glance that would catch the interest of the most notorious serial killer the FBI had ever chased.

Once I was in his grasp, my world turned on its axis, leaving me breathless and desiring things I could never have imagined. My mind became a war ground between my conscious and my growing passion for a man my heart should never want.

Would I be able to love him regardless of what he was, or would I end up on the wrong end of his blade?

The singing

OMG this was such a good book. The interactions between Cain and Abel.and the singing. I replayed it several times. I did enjoy the twists with Kirby’s mother. She deserved having Abel help Cain end her. Maybe a little of Abel’s “scrubbing” would have done her some good

wow, great dark romance

This is a dark romance, not grey, black... and I loved every single word of it.

Duet narration

Narration was top notch. Story was dark, demented and twisted! If that’s your taste you will love this story.

Not my cup of tea

The story was not my cup of tea. However, the story was well written, and the narrators did a great job. I didn't enjoy the male character. He is definitely pitch black. Check triggers: rape by the main male characters is a no for me to have a HEA.

Great story!!! Super intense, but so bingeworthy! But be warned that this is extremely dark... like PITCH BLACK Taboo Romance ⚫️ 🖤 If you do not know what *pitch black* Romance is, LOOK IT UP. & if you have concerns after understanding that this is PITCH BLACK than CHECK UR TRIGGERS, if anything bothers you on the TW list: SKIP THE BOOK.

As a previous reviewer stated: it is unfair to lower a rating because you may not vibe with the content.

I was surprised by the amount of shocking/taboo things in this book, horrified and downright disgusted at times... Yet, I still believe this book was well written, had great character depth, great relationships, gave an in depth understanding of the world the characters navigated, humor, horror, shocking/taboo moments, emotional moments and some intense spice(AGAIN ☑️ TW's).

Narration was top tier. Angelina Rocca provided audio for the female characters and Teddy Hamilton provided audio for the male characters(DUET performance). Mr. Hamilton's voice makes my toes curl in the best way!
