Finally...we get Essie and Nate's storyline!!! We have been teased throughout the Toronto Terror series of their romance and it was well worth the wait!

Loved the story not the narrator

This story was so good! I love Nate and Essie! We were introduced to both characters in If You Hate Me and then we get a little glimpse of them in Chase Lovett Wants Me. So with that said I felt like female narrator did not capture Essie or Rix. She was too sickly sweet. I think I’m just jaded by C.J. Bloom’s version of these characters. So I really didn’t like it. Although, Teddy Hamilton was great per usual.

I wasn’t a fan of how the female narrator made Essie or Rix sound but she was great with everyone having their own voice.

I enjoyed this book. the series has been consistently good. some even more than good. but Savanna Peachwoods voice and cadence of speaking gets under my skin. idk why. but whenever I see her name as a narrator I almost won't even bother with the book. unless like this one, it's in a series im already invested in. I mean I do the same thing when they're doing fake country accents. 🫩( im from Texas/Oklahoma... most people don't sound like that. it's just distracting.) she's great & i follow her on forums. but i really have to be in the right head space to listen to her..... update: i gave it a re-listen and put it on 1.75 speed. it made Teddy sound a bit funny. But it made Savanna talk at a normal pace. so I believe my issue this whole time isn't her voice. Just the extra slow and dramatic way she speaks. LOL so I am hopeful I can use this trick on her other books. and hopefully it helps someone else with the same problem

When you add in the cameos from so so many of Helena's previous couples, you can't help but be giddy!

This was such a fun listen! The story is so good on it's own, but when you add in the cameos from so so many of Helena's previous couples, you can't help but be giddy after listening to this! Nate and Essie. And their messy secret history. Add in that her best friend is marrying his brother, and it gets even more complicated. All of those Maid of Honor and Best Man duties make spending time together a necessity for the two of them. Their off-the-charts chemistry is bound to break through at some point, right? Wedding planning, a dress fitting, a couples shower, a Vegas trip, and all of the other little nights in between are a big part of the inevitability of these two crashing into each other. The only question is, will it be a mess or will they find exactly what they didn't think they'd ever find, in the last place they expected it? Just do yourself a favor and start listening to this wonderfully spicy romance as soon as you can!
