Marcelo & Mirabella

Marcelo was now the head of the Mafia and enrolled in the mafia academy which is neutral ground for future mafia leaders.
Mirabella was a mafia princess and her family arranged her marriage to Marcelo, which she didn’t want. The FMC wanted to be a part of the life (an equal) and have a choice.
This was not a dark mafia romance, no cheating or angst, some drama and mystery. The FMC’s personality was annoying and the MMC did not come across as having a strong personality or having a mafia persona.

Loved Mirabella's fierceness.

It's been a while since I've read from this author duo, but mafia romances are my weakness and I'll read as many as I can.

While this isn't quite the dark romances that I'm used to reading, this might be the perfect amount for those that are unsure about DR, but love the other work from P. Rayne.

Mirabella was an absolute win, she wanted an equal and a choice. And wasn't going to give in to anyone, not even for love. I loved her fire and just everything about her.

And yes, you guessed it, I struggled with Marcelo. And if a man that I'm with and have feelings already established, doesn't defend me when his friends compare me to a mutt. Game over. While we do see a little growth with his character by the end, I wasn't enamored with him as I hoped I would be.

Overall, wasn't too bad of a start for this series and I'm interested to see what comes of it. I have the other books ready to go.

Narration: I thought Meg Sylvan was a solid choice for Mirabella, really brought the character's fierceness through. While I liked Lance Greenfield's voice, I'm not sure if they were the right fit for Marcelo.

Love a good mafia romance

I liked the idea of a school setting for mafia families that was a new one for me ,I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read the next one!

Narrators

I hated the narrators voices. The female sounds like the bride from Chucky and the male sounds like a villain from a comic book.

Duet narration

The story is okay, although its a duet narration which i LOVE the male narrator was bad. He was too excited and reading fast.

Fun read

The characters were dynamic and interesting. The storyline was interesting in that it was not your typical mafia type storyline. Loved Mirabell and her fierce determination to achieve her goals.

Mirabella was okay

I liked the narration as far as Mirabella was concerned.
The voice for Marcelo was HORRIBLE but so funny. He was too intense. Almost like an anime character.
