When Erik and Rugrat entered the ten realms they didn’t know what was going on. They only knew that they had contracted the two week curse.

When entering the second realm they came to understand their character sheets, and part of the system that is called the ten realms. A place that the strong make the rules and the weak cling to them for protection and hope that they might be left in peace.

They passed through the trials of the Beast Mountain Dungeon, taking control of it and becoming the leader of nearly 200 people.

Now in command of the Alva Dungeon and looking to forge a new future, they need more power, mana stones, dungeon cores, monster cores, if not then the Dungeon will stop functioning and they will need to relocate once again.

As they ascend to the second realm, Erik and Rugrat need to grow their skills, gain information, and find a dungeon. It’s hardly ever that easy.

need I say more....well sure I guess I will

Magic guns, adventure, op hero, city building and no harem full of empty headed add nothings. woot

Bonus Star for not being a turkey and cutting this up into several smaller books just to milk the fans.

Magic Guns.

This book continues just as Two Week Curse. Great flushed-out world and in-depth magic system. Eric and Rugrat move along, almost oblivious to the world around them and resisting temptations to change who they are because of new found power. The only thing I could wish for is a bit more tension or danger. I never felt our heroes were in any sort of real risk of failure or serious harm. Still fun to share their journey, but a little more of a challenge for them would be nice.

Narration is on par with the first book, keeping the same style.

Likeable Goofs Continue to Grow

enjoyable but lacked a good villain for them to struggle with so you never felt like they had a nemesis and were just sort of solving whatever problem fell into the heros laps without working towards anything other then getting stronger for its own sake

enjoyable

If you enjoyed the first book, you will enjoy this one as well. It was an enjoyable continuation of the first and seamlessly transitions into the story

Great book 2

I hope the third book gets put on here soon. It’s an exciting and fun read.

Worth it

I really liked the first installment of this series and was very excited when I saw this second one only to be somewhat disappointed. The writing style had changed somehow. The dialogue was overly explanatory and very campy while the literary tools were poorly used. As an example there is one point where Rugrag and Eric are having a back and forth and after every single dialogue sentience (even ones that are like a two word response) the author chose to put “Eric said” or “Rugrat said” so much so that it became extremely distracting and an absolute detractor from the story. This is just one minor example of how the writing technique seemed a bit rudimentary especially compared to the first book. In the end I still will read the third installment but hopefully the writing will have improved

Not bad but not as good as the first

Chatfield does a great job of writing entertaining Fantasy operas, and this book/series is no exception! I listened to the entire thing in around 2 days, and I found it hard to put down. This next installment goes quite a bit into the crafting and personal improvement mechanics more than anything else as well as fleshes out the "realms" mechanics quite a bit more while still providing a good amount of action intermixed. It also starts to build out the guild and side characters, much like the early Emirilia books.

I can't wait for the next book to come out!

Awesome Wuxia Hybrid

These books are nothing fancy, but they are different enough from others in the genre to set themselves apart. It brings two fun and strong characters into a world where all of their dreams can be theirs, if they are willing to put in the work (something my generation could learn a thing or two from). The mix of crafting and fighting is something that few other books have tried to do. Following Eric and Rugrat is something I am looking forward to continuing.

Good, fun book
