The beginning of an epic romance

It’s been a few months now since I listened to The Bridge Kingdom, but I’m still thinking about how much I enjoyed it. I’ll occasionally go back and look at all the positive reviews and feel proud of this little gem for doing so well since it’s come out. It’s a really fun romantic fantasy, exactly my cup of tea, with a clever plot and engaging characters that kept me tuned in. I loved that the heroine had to pretend to be meek but was actually an assassin—we get to keep this little secret in our back pocket until wham! Lara plays her hand just right. And it’s the beginning of a series so we are going to be getting more of Lara and Aren soon! If you like a fast-paced romantic fantasy with a kickass heroine and a slow burn relationship, I recommend you pick this one up. —Melissa B., Audible Editor

This book will trigger fellow fantasy romance lovers

While I was in the midst of this book, every hour of my day that I was not listening felt like a wasted hour. Needless to say, I finished it pretty quickly. I will admit that in the beginning I hated our main character, Lara, because I thought she had done a terrible, terrible deed that I could not forgive her for. But when I found out how wrong I was, I loved Lara more fiercely than I had hated her. Narrators Lauren Fortgang and James Patrick Cronin were absolutely perfectly cast. Their performances elicited strong emotions in me, and I devoured the drama, romance, and knife-edged tension faster than I thought possible. It was completely delicious! —Melissa B., Audible Editor

What a refreshing and epic new series! The end left me with chills and praise for the heroine. I am in love with the characters, the writing, the world building, and the story line. Bad ass women are the icing on the cake . The romance was a slow and realistic burn, but man was it hot once it was lit. The action and intrigue kept me engaged and on my toes.. I finished this in one night. Who needs sleep when you have an audible of badassery?? Both narrators were excellent. Now I have to endure the wait for the next book, woe is me!!!!

Where do I find book 2 of the The Bridge Kingdom

I loved this story, it had the perfect balance of intrigue, war, love, betrayal and redemption. This is the epitome of an ARC and I think we will see more of that, as the rest of the series is published. I am disappointed that we have to wait a year for the next book to come out. I was really surprised that I liked this, as many fantasy novels, miss the mark, and this book did not disappoint. The narration was on point as well!!

I want to put in order for next book to see what happens. This was a fun light hearted listen with youthful spirit. Good cliff hanger at the end. I could have done with out the storm sound effects between chapters, extremely cheesy.

I wish someone could explain the hype surrounding this book. The writing is amateur and mediocre, the story is meh and the characters aren’t likable at all. The only saving grace is this audiobook. The reading and voice acting are phenomenal and made me able to finish this horrid book.

Amazing! The heroine takes a bit too long than the readers to put things together in the end, it makes me skip a few (4) chapters in the end, I was too impatient and couldnt "live" the moments between. Great performance of the female narrator. There is a book 2...
