Still spellbinding
Not as good as previous volumes. Some historical inaccuracies (the Bourc Camus was captured before the time the action takes place, for example). Otherwise, still spellbinding. The marriage between Violante Visconti and the Duke of Clarence DID take place and was a huge social event. Battle scenes mesmerizing. Still, feels kind of like filler. Let's get to the defender of Venice!
My first introduction to Gian Galeazzo. Worth reading to find out about some of the historical figures.

Best of the Best.
Sword of Justice is the perfect historical fiction novel. It’s exceptionally well written, the plot is captivating, coherent and exciting, and the historical accuracies regarding people, places, and events of the Byzantine Empire in the 14th Century is spot-on.
Cameron’s Chivalry series is his best work to date. It’s even better than Killer of Men. Why? Because, as Cameron explains in the afterwords of the previous book, he wrote his masters thesis on the Byzantine Empire in the 14th Century.
Additionally, the narration is outstanding.
This is a must listen for all fans of historical fiction.
