Great series

Reviews were correct. As good as the Uthred series, which I consider high praise indeed.

Bummed it’s over

Superb story... wish it kept going and going. Anyone who enjoys Cornwell will also love Cameron.

Phenomenal!

I hope that Christian Cameron continues this storyline because I'm emotionally invested in Arimnestos and his friends. Amazing book, incredible narration, and one of my favorite series I've ever read.

Great series

As I didn’t get the other 5 from audible I’m considering this review for the entire series - and it really was fantastic - up there with the Last Kingdom. The narrator does a tremendous job and the story sucks you in so that you never want to put it down. My only wish was for some type of companion to help keep up with all the characters - with the number that died sometimes when there would be a reference I couldn’t remember who they were talking about - but don’t let that take anything away from how good I thought the books were.

Tremendous saga

This is an incredible telling of an amazing saga. The authorship is wonderful and the reader is exceptionally good. Not tired of listening, even after the completion of the long series. Highly recommended.

Amazing series finale

Amazing book. Once again Mr. Cameron has out done himself and Mr. Nobel as well. I am very sad to have to leave this world behind. Lucky for me, I have some brain damage from times gone by so, eventually I can listen to these books again for the first time.

I loved this series

This type of strategic description of the fights , yet believable characters is exactly what I look for in historical fiction.

I have enjoyed the Long war all the way through, but this last book is head and shoulders above the rest!

How do you say goodbye to a story like this - that has people that become real in your head and your heart and your ears...

This story is alive, and it is a beautiful thing to have met, and loved.

battle scenes save it

not what I wanted in a finale but the battle Def saves it. worth it for the finish but I'd have saved it for a few months later if I knew it wasn't gonna be as good as others. bottom rung of 5 stars for sure
