Master of War (1-3)

A great series so far. I truly enjoyed Cornell’s Saxon Chronicles & Audible suggested these Books. I was pleasantly surprised. They’re every bit as exciting, engaging & entertaining. I’ll definitely continue the rest of the series.

Not the epic I expected

Too much fiction. I was in the mood for something educational. This was not. Nor was it good fiction. I didn't like the ending of the series.

I totally enjoyed the well balanced fictional characters inserted into Hundred year's war. Quite a excellent audio presentation. Highly recoommend to historical fiction genre's selection.

An outstanding portrayal of medieval warfare, honor, and men-at-arms.

Hats off to the author, and narrarator. The brutality, honor, sweat, and tears feel organic in this exceptional novel series. I read/listen to a great deal of historical fiction, military fiction/non-fiction, and military sci-fi. With that said, this is by far the best of this genre I have experienced. The characters, atmosphere, and story immerse one in that world with such a brutal effectiveness in the writing that one forgets it is just a story. This story will grab you by the heart, and by the balls. A time when men were men.

overall i liked it

what killed me on not continuing is you build up reuniting with his family for a whole book then you kill them . on top of that the graphic killing of women and children . A little to heavy handed for me.

Gritty with a sense of history

Great read, I would recommend to anyone who likes knights, archers, and of course battle!
