Great Start To This Series

When I discovered the LitRPG genre a couple years ago, I fell in love immediately and have listened to many novels and series now. Some are good, some miss the mark for me. This one is solid and exactly the type of writing I enjoy in these adventures. The only reason I put 3 stars on performance was that the first couple hours of the book, the narration seemed to slide in and out of what sounded like a Dutch accent and was throwing me off a bit. Later, I didn’t notice that at all. Oh yeah, there was a segment where the narrators S’s were extremely sharp but from having done this sort of work, the recording studio must have set things up different that day as I haven’t noticed it since.

It is a decent Adolescent LitRPG

The plot is decent but it is not fantastic. Continually calling the leader "The Old Lady" is really grating.

its a solid start here but be warned its a bit slow. i liked it though. its worth the credit. try it

Too good for a short book

I normally don’t buy any book that is under twenty hours long but I got this one by mistake. And it turned out to be really good. Now I’m passed off because I’m going to be using my credits on these short books.

Great book

A good series so far.
I'm looking forward to the next book, can't wait for the Mc to get some payback!

the book was alright. It was a good listen. that's all I have to say about it.

Good litrpg

This was a good system apocalypse novel. As other reviews state there are a couple of editing mistakes but nothing that ruins the story in any meaningful way so ignore that. The hero is a bit dumb in parts but it’s not to the point where it’s unbelievable. As far as stats and progression goes I tend to like them to have a more measurable effect but the author didn’t really indicate what effect they had that well. So this is definitely not a crunchy litrpg.

I gave the book 5 stars because the book is exactly what I expected not earth shattering in its awesomeness or novelty but just a solid book. If you are into these kinds of stories I have no doubt you will enjoy it and it’s worth a credit.

I love the storyline.

super fun to read about someone being overpowered. gives me a "defiance of the fall vibe" which is what I was looking for. just wish the MC would calm down a little bit about his mom and revenge. oh and turn down the volume before the narrator screams Into your ears. but everything between the sound effects and the "poor me my mom died" moments being very overcast. is amazing.

a lesson to be learned and personal development of the main character grows in power and ash grows to level 30 also Dansare and Christian are amazing narrated

what a suprise

I agree with most that the vengeance motivation gets a bit annoying. However the book itself was great. the narration is amazing that team did an amazing job. the story is good and it seems like there is a lot of room to grow.
