A strong start on this series, and one of those you can't put down. How to being in wealth, and clean the blight out at the same time... mass production of cheap soap of course. We follow our MC who soul was placed in a pampered spoiled brat body. Can our MC change how his people view them in their eyes. Can he outsmart those who is trying to summon a god? So much fun. Can't wait for the next book.

The only thing that bothered me is he had to much knowledge for a civil engineer, Still a decent story and i will listen to the next one.

This book follows the reincarnation into a young noble trope. This is a fun trope because the MC has to work against another person reputation. A lot of the story is focused on redeeming how the MC is perceived. Now I wish the plot wasn’t so invested in soap but I get it and it made sense. Overall, the story was entertaining though. The narration was well done too.

Good start

I liked everything except the fact that a modern-day isekai engineers best inventions are soap, a wheelbarrow and a water mill. I'd hardly call that industrial. Should rename the book soap mage as much as its obsessed about. I almost quit at the soap competition but I stayed because of every thing else about the world build. I guess you got to start somewhere but I hope its gets more advanced in book two.

Decent

The story is okay. My issue is the lack of characters interaction, random time skips, and illogical characters. The story jumps from event to event without letting us get to know any of the characters. As an example, I don't know who the MC is, so when something happens I don't know if that behavior is normal or abnormal. Which is why characters interacting with each other is important, but this feels more like a bunch of npcs waiting for the MC or event trigger. Then there is the illogical characters. MC performs magic in front of his guards, but no one mentions how strange that their lord is suddenly able to use magic, and when he asks one of them to get him a basic magic book the captain asks "why do you need that, you can't use magic" unless i am mixing up two different characters, it doesn't make sense. If you are looking for a standard isekai that the MC takes over a corrupt "evil" noble and focuses on soap making, then this is for you.
