ADHD can be a hefty pain to deal with, especially for a child. At this point, they aren’t aware that their outbursts are causing others harm or that their hyperactivity might be harming themselves. They are acting out of instinct because that is all they know. As their parent, it is your job to lift them up and show them the way. If they have low self-esteem, you need to push them up. If they lack focus, you need to guide them to find it. With effective strategies, you can implement in your daily lives, managing ADHD can be achievable.

The ADHD brain comes with some unique challenges, and until we recognize what they are, they will keep getting in our way. Starting new things, stopping others, concentrating, studying, getting stuff done, paying the bills, and getting on with life just seems so much harder for you than for others. That’s because it actually is, and it is time we faced up to this. ADHD brains are not wrong, weak, or broken–just different. And because the world is set up for neurotypical people, those with ADHD struggle to fit in with these systems which are not matched to them or their needs at all.

Men with ADHD are often overlooked, leaving many who are struggling with their abilities to feel isolated or confused about what they're experiencing. - The symptoms and indications that will assist you in determining whether or not you have ADHD
- The three factors that influence ADHD's development
- The common misconceptions about ADHD
- The five habits that can help you manage ADHD
- The three-step framework to develop several habits when dealing with ADHD
Other benefits you can get by listening to this audiobook:
- Find out what's been going on in your head all these years
- Achieve personal goals without feeling like you're struggling against yourself
- Find out what it feels like to live without limitations on your abilities
- Stop feeling like crazy or that there's something wrong with you
- Learn to manage your symptoms better, so you can feel more in control of your life
If you are a man struggling with ADHD, it can be tough to know where to turn for help. This audiobook is designed to provide you with information and guidance on how to cope with ADHD as an adult.
Knowledge is power. Once armed with the facts about adult ADHD, many people find themselves feeling less anxious or stressed-out because they understand why certain situations cause them problems. Historia
The Brave Athlete solves the 13 most common mental conundrums athletes face in their everyday training and in races. You don't have one brain - you have three; your ancient Chimp brain that keeps you alive, your modern Professor brain that navigates the civilized world, and your Computer brain that accesses your memories and runs your habits (good and bad). They fight for control all the time and that's when bad things happen. What if you could stop the thoughts and feelings you don't want? You can.

We humans tend to get in our own way time and time again - whether it comes to not speaking up for ourselves, going back to bad romantic partners, our umpteenth diet, or engaging in any of a range of bad habits we just can’t seem to shake. In Rewire, renowned psychotherapist Richard O’Connor, PhD, reveals why our bad habits die so hard. We have two brains - one a thoughtful, conscious, deliberative self, and the other an automatic self that does most of the work without our attention.

Fortunately for Emily and Paul, they're in good hands: David Rock knows how the brain works - and more specifically, how it works in a work setting. Rock shows how it's possible for Emily and Paul, and thus the listener, not only to survive in today's overwhelming work environment but succeed in it - and still feel energized and accomplished at the end of the day.

And doctors are realizing that millions of adults suffer from this condition, though the vast majority of them remain undiagnosed and untreated.

Irritating narrator, computer generated, AI.
I have difficulty describing, just how irritating it is to be distracted by the voice of the audiobook when the subject matter is ADHD. What happened to humans reading books? The piece is funny, the words are accented incorrectly, and awkwardly throughout this book, making it difficult to listen to.

Mediocre Writing Read by a Useless A.I.
Please do not use a credit on this. If I could get my credit back, I would. If you find this book secondhand for less than $10, it’s probably a great buy. However, the writing is not exceptional. This is compounded by the fact that the “helpful Matthew“ that reads the book is almost unintelligible due to the strange speech patterns and reflections it uses.

Boring tripe
They took a subject that could be interesting and made it boring. They could have provided information in a helpful manner, but they dragged out every paragraph with rhetoric and tone of mild silly drama.
I quit listening to it after a few slow chapters, then later tried again. It was still unengaging and annoying to listen to as it rambled off the obvious.
If they knew anything about ADD, why wouldn’t they make their book engaging?!?
Weak.

Narrator made it awful
I am not sure who or even what “Helpful Matthew” is but this reading was terrible. It completely took away from the material and I eventually sped up the recording to 1.3x just to get through it. He reads as if he were a terrible form of A.I. and was programmed in his inflection. If not, it appears Helpful Matthew either did not read the material before switching on the mic, or took no notes when he did. Edgar Wise should be upset this book is presented with such distracting narration, especially when this is a book for guys that are easily distracted. I will avoid any book ever read by this narrator because of this reading.

Made a lot of sense
While listening to the book, I heard a lot of behaviors being described that mimicked my own. It was good to feel like someone else understood how I thought/process new info.

Informative
I learned a bit more about ADHD. I appreciate the book, but most of what I heard I’d known already. Great book.

Can’t listen to this any longer
Odd inflection made it too hard to listen to. I gave up on it after a few tries.

Very helpful book. Terrible narration.
The narration read as if it were a badly programmed computer. Weird pauses and incorrect pronunciations all throughout the entire audiobook. It was very distracting from the content. (of course, suffering from ADHD, that’s not hard to do)

Can’t get through it
If you get through this book you have either mastered your ADHD or you don’t have ADHD.
