    Must Read for All Marketing Professionals

    A great introduction to understanding consumer insight and beavior from a scientific view. The book gives you a good over view of what is to come in the future of neuro-marketing as well as marketing in general.

    Great for copywriters

    This is the second time I read this book. I really enjoy knowing the marketing techniques, especially Neuro-Marketing, that companies use to attract more customers. Some of the last chapters give you great insight and ideas on how to write good copy for ads. You just have to use your imagination and follow the principles in this book

    Good, but enough to be recommended

    It's a good read, good insights, but there is a clear lack of solid foundation on anthropology, philosophy and evolutionary biology

    I have never thought I would discover this side of marketing not in a million years.

    A compelling listen - you can't click on 'stop'

    Would you listen to Buyology again? Why?

    The information in this book is relevant to anyone who doesn't live in a cave. The marketers are out there trying to trick and intice us to look at their wares. Knowing that it's all a trick may help you avoid some purchases you don't really need and if nothing else, will help you select products and services based on their actual value and not what the marketers want you to believe.

    What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

    Examples of how we're manipulated come from everyday life. The author shows examples that really do relate to just about everyone. As the stories unfold, you find yourself riveted to the car seat (we were driving to Kentucky at the time) to see what was behind the smoke & mirrors.

    Any additional comments?

    I like to listen to books about psychology & behavior and I'd have to rate Buyology as one of the best I've purchased in my many years with Audible. I'm looking forward to listening to more of Lindstrom's work.

    Very enjoyable

    I enjoyed the hard science behind this book and the no nonsense layout. The only thing is, he's so spot on that some of his predictions have already come true making it seem a little dated already.

    Highly recommended.

    It is important to understand how marketing works in a society that is so connected through social media and the internet. We only use a very small percentage of our intelligence while the great majority is programmed. Yes I said it programmed. This happens to people un aware and we wonder why we make the decisions we make. Maybe we are not making the decision instead we are told what to do. That's what this book explains.
