Omg so good!

It’s dark and so good. You can truly imagine exactly how she describes things throughout the book. It’s kind of Pans Labyrinth meets the Plated Prisoner Series and I ate it up.

Amazing world building, great story, great slow burn, can't wait for the next book! The narration on this book tho omg honestly my favorite Zavanders voice!

I love how there’s a male and female voice that switch back and forth for the characters. The plot is amazing cliffhanger at the end can’t wait for boom 2

At the beginning it was a little hard to keep track of all of the different fantasy names but it was worth the mild confusion at the start. Fantastic story and fantastic performance. Can't wait till book two comes out

Gothic slow burn by the best!

Keri Lake is a master of her craft, intricately weaving emotive dark fantasy that is exciting to read and fills one with a desire to plunge headlong into the dark depths of the tale. While there is plenty of world building and beautiful plot development, I hope we see more character development in the subsequent editions. I adore the slow burn that is a distinctive trait of Lake’s books; I relish in the detailed, expressive, and overall style of her collected works.
