Ohh my this book! This series! The Club by Rina Saint! 5 stars, fantastic! I absolutely loved this book! We were briefly introduced to Rafael and Dominic in book 1, The Contract. We learn a little about what they endured as children and teenagers. In book 2, The Club we get a more in-depth look into their stories and wow! This story has depth, passion, loyalty, and a lot of trauma. Both Rafael and Dominic have their own ways in dealing with their trauma, and for so long they knew no other way. That is until they start to embrace one another and start to become each other's anchors. Rafael has these moments of being out of control and Dominic has this strong urge to make Rafael his.

William MacLeod voiced Dominic and Tim Page voiced Rafael! Their performances were perfect to bring these characters to life. We hear the pain, the carnal passion, the fear, the out of control, the vulnerability, the rage, and so much more. This book is definitely a relisten for sure!

I'm a huge fan of Tim Paige and love every single audio I've heard of his but I had never heard of William Macleod before and oh my gosh. He was FANTASTIC. His Dominic just blew me away honestly. I normally listen to audios on the way to and from work and the way I got so cranky when I had to pause this gloriousness for my job 🤣
I absolutely loved it and HIGHLY recommend this one!

The Club is book two in the Dangerous Games series and we are finally getting Rafael and Dominic’s story. Told in duet by William Macleod and Tim Paige, both narrators were able to pull me deep into the darkness and trauma of the characters, keeping me interested and curious for what was to come.

This installment was fast paced, dark and much more intense. My heart broke for them, but for different reasons. We get introduced to both Rafael and Dominic in book one, but their story dives deep into their past, the trauma and abuse they survived and how it shaped them into who they’ve become. Both men love to play with fire but soon they start to play a very dangerous game with each other. The spice was off the charts hot and lots of it.

I’ve enjoyed this series but I cannot stress enough, read the TW’s. This installment is a deeper look into the underground… it’s raw and takes a much darker path.

I’ve got to say I’m in my MM romance era and The Club was everything I wanted and more. The Club gives us tragic pasts, Broken MMC’s, Mafia goodness and enough spice you could drown in it. Tim Page and William Macleod were an amazing pair to bring Rafael and Dominic to life. I loved how William’s voice was so gruff and Tim’s voice was full of wanting. I would check the trigger warnings as both our MMC’s lived through horrible things that no one should. Did I absolutely binge this audio book? Yes I did. The Club is full of drama, action and all kinds of yummy spice. My favorite thing about this audio book was how these two broken men found comfort in each other.

This is the second audiobook in Rina Saint’s Dangerous Games series, and it was H-O-T! This enemies-to-lovers MM mafia romance is definitely super spicy but also surprisingly sweet for these big, tough mafia types. This story details the unlikely romance between Rafael and Dominic, especially when Dominic’s initial plan was not to date Rafael but to unalive him. After all, the man who took out your father in a very permanent way is not typically your first choice for a partner. Turns out, though, these two very dangerous men have a heartbreaking connection to each other from when they were young adolescents that shaped them both. Their road to happily-ever-after is certainly rocky, but they just “get” each other. Ultimately, as unlikely as their love may appear to be, it’s exactly what they needed to heal from their past trauma and become the men and partners they each deserve—even if that means confronting a very real threat to their happiness and their very lives. Honestly, I adored this story and this couple! There are, however, some pretty heavy themes in this story involving children, but I believe the author handled them with the utmost care and respect.

And the duet narration from Tim Paige and William Macleod brought this fantastic story to life in all the best ways! Tim Paige is always a delight to listen to, but he really outdid himself with his portrayal of Rafael, showcasing the character’s exuberant personality as well as his inner turmoil and vulnerability. William Macleod absolutely nailed the iconic New York wise-guy mobster accent, which was perfect for those stern, mafia daddy moments. But when he gentled his voice to reflect either the character’s own trauma or his care for Rafael, it completely melted my heart. Both of these incredible voice actors turned in outstanding performances, meshing their narration styles perfectly and further elevating an already strong story.
