This book did not disappoint!

Incredible writing, angsty characters, mental health rep, broken bbs, and high heat are all things I have come to expect from this author. This book did not disappoint! The scream I scrumpt when I was able to devour another Riley Nash could be heard within a five mile radius, I am sure! I adored getting to know these two MCs, and was made to feel so many feels through the entire story! Anger, frustration, curiosity, heart ache, and so much love! Definitely give this one a shot!

Riley Nash is so fricking good at writing characters that year you heart out. Jude and Andrew are just the next in his collection of beautiful sad boys. I absolutely love this story and how much safety and comfort they find in each other. The narration was fantastic!

THIS MIGHT HURT takes us on Andrew and Jude’s journey.

An unconventional meeting between two strangers from completely opposite sides of the tracks ends up turning into a wild ride about realizing your soul mate is the one you least expect and the one who makes you whole.

Andrew and Jude are the complete opposite but seem to understand each other and their quirky ways. I love how they challenged each other, but also grounded each other and made each other feel like they were more.

I was so excited to hear that Riley Nash was releasing a new book, could not wait to dive in, and the book did not disappoint. If you have read Riley before, then you can expect more of his wonderful writing and banter between characters. If you haven’t read Riley before, it’s time to dive in.

Devon Ryder and Ryan Lee Dunlop are the perfect choices for Andrew and Jude. They managed to bring their journey to life and elevate an already great book to an amazing book, and push it to a top book of the year for me. This was my first time listening to Ryan Lee Dunlop, and hopefully, there will be many more listens to come in the future.

Jude and Andrew 🖤

I loved reading and loved listening even more. Both new to me narrators and I can't imagine more perfect choices for these characters. The emotion was amped up - if Jude and Andrew don't already have my heart, I'd be handing it over now.

Jude was born to love. You may not see it immediately but he's walking sunshine, bursting with a soul deep need to love and starved from the inability to give it. He feels like freedom to Andrew who's been empty all his life.

Andrew is...overwhelming. Trapped by the family he was born into - bred for greed with a heart made for softness. It's hard to grow a spine when pain only lives where love was supposed to grow.

There's this one specific line from Andrew:

“𝘗𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘮𝘦. 𝘐’𝘮 𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘵𝘺. 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘴𝘰 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩.”

And like, this is obviously a sexy time line but it hit me so differently. It's indicative of the whole dynamic between Jude and Andrew and the way they are so perfectly made for each other. Maybe fate is a web, maybe it's a straight line but like calls to like and a gas station in Wyoming changed everything.

Honorable mention: The pets. I'm fully #teamBuckley because cats. But Sid... Am I glad horse girl? No. However, I *am* an Andrew talking to his horse girl.

This was excellent. The story was real and showed you how much being treated badly by your family can affect you. I went through so many emotions while listening to this. If you are in the fence just listen it’s totally worth it.
Narration was great as well.
