Fantastic story. almost didn't read after reading the reviews that called Romina infantile. She wasn't. loved the badass character she became. loved all the dark, but loving main male characters. Wow.

Loved the different sides, and building on the story development of each of the male main characters. Loved Romina.

Wow this was intense! Scarily plausible with billionaires and churches keeping the masses in shackles. Amazing spice and compelling relationships. Loved it.

The whole book was so amazing!! I was recommend the author and im so grateful. The whole time it kept me wanting to keep listening. I definitely will be listening to it again!!

I went into Heartless Heathens with pretty high expectations based on the hype, but for me it ended up being just an okay read. The story had an interesting premise, especially with the whole God vs. Devil theme, but it didn’t really go deep enough into that concept to make it impactful. It felt like the idea was introduced more for shock value than actually explored in a meaningful way.
There were also quite a few sections that felt like filler, which slowed the pacing and made parts of the book feel longer than they needed to be.

As for the “taboo” elements that people talk about, if you’re someone who regularly reads dark romance, this will probably feel pretty mild. The spicy scenes were more on the vanilla side and didn’t really push boundaries the way the marketing or reviews might suggest.

Overall, it wasn’t terrible, but it also didn’t live up to the hype for me. If you're new to darker romance themes you might enjoy it more, but experienced readers in the genre may find it a bit underwhelming.

Its okay for new dark romance readers.
