It is always a pleasure to listen the happenings of the new species series. Me Dinner always manages to surprise with the different scenarios for each book. I enjoy Vanessa Chambers' performance. I think she has an in-depth understanding of the characters she portrays, contributing to the listening experience!

Love this one as much as the other Species novels, but the narrator ends almost every end word of a sentence (except dialogues) in a certain tone. Listen to a chapter, you’ll hear it. Dialogues sounded natural.

Romeo and Juliet, New Species style!

What would you do if you worked at a satellite facility for Mercile and felt drawn to a New Species? Gennie would do anything for 710, including sacrifice her own life.

Species 710 has taken a name, True. True is tired of seeing his brethren trying to blend in with humans, they aren't human, they are New Species. He is determined to stay TRUE to his roots and be the man he was meant to be. He thinks often about his captivity and about the human he trusted only to find out she was working with the enemy. Imagine his surprise when he sees her again at a testing facility he is raiding with the task force.

Gennie can't believe her eyes, it is Species 710, he is there, right in front of her, looking at her with rage in his eyes. Doesn't he know she sacrificed everything so he could be free?

New Species is an automatic purchase/download for me, I am completely addicted to pretty much anything Laurann Dohner writes. True had its really great moments, and it had some moments where it seemed like the content was 'filler', but, overall it was a really enjoyable story. If you're into 'semi-paranormal' romance, this is a series you should try. It's sexy, funny, usually action packed, and what I love so much about this series is the play on words and colloquialisms common to most people, is either misconstrued or taken totally literally by the new species--makes me fall out with laughter every time! This story was full of that kind of humor and sass, I loved it. There are so many great characters to choose from, I can't wait until the next book in the series.
