Publisher's summary

Micah Preston is Hollywood's number one sex symbol. A rich and famous actor who has sworn off any serious relationships, the playboy is the media's favorite bachelor. But he wasn't anybody when Maddie Bauer met him seven years ago. Then he was just the hot guy at the party who gave her an amazing orgasm and never called her again.

Now her job as a camera assistant has landed her on the set of his latest movie, and despite her vow to ignore his charm, she finds him pulling her focus. She just has to make it through the shoot without landing in his bed. But when the legendary bad boy sets his sights on her, how can she possibly resist?

The book was previously published under the title Take Two.

Miach...Sex on a stick

Would you listen to Sex Symbol again? Why?

This was a great story of Maddie trying to make her way in the film business and Miach making his way as an actor. Great chemistry between these two from the time they meet in the backyard of a party.

Love listening to Andi Arndt. She is one of my favorites on Audible.

Great Story

If you don't like overly sexed books, then I wouldn't read this one. There is a ton of that in this book; however, the story is great and if you are a 'in your feels' type reader, like myself, be prepared to do some eye rolling or name calling. Well that's my coping mechanism. I get into the characters that much. lol

Just so so

Didn't really see what the main characters saw in each other. Narration was fine though and story was vaguely entertaining enough to keep listening

I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. I love Andi Arndt as a narrator, there isn't much that I've listened to that she has narrated that I haven't enjoyed. As for this story I thought it was a good love story. Maddie and Micah meet 7 yrs prior at a party and by chance meet again on a movie set they are working on as Actor and Camera Assistant. Maddie tries to fight off her attraction to him but eventually gives in and falls in love. Because he doesn't believe a Hollywood romance ever works, she ends up walking away from him. But it all works out in the end when he announces his love for her on national tv during an awards ceremony. Of course there is a lot of story in between my short rundown of it, but you'll just have to read it.

Loved it!

Whoa, this book was one of the better celebrity romances I've read that features an actor. That about it I loved, especially since I never fully connect to rock star tropes that much. Anyways this had a lot of steamy sex scenes that had me anxious for the next one. I loved how Micah let love win and they got their HEA. I hope she has others in this series because I'd be so upset if that was it for that world! Excellent story.

Take Two

This is a fun book! Starts out with first meeting and great kiss. Fast forward seven years and second meeting with a little angst and lots of sex. A little more romance would have been nice. But overall good book.

Liked it

I’m a fan of this author. On the plus side, the characters are well-rounded/well-written/real. The story is both familiar and fresh.

Possibilities

Mica is closed of to relationships and he firmly believes relationships in Hollywood are doomed to fail. Maddie is a hopeless romantic but knows what she wants. Maddie and Mica met briefly at a wrap party. Now seven years later, here they are working together and the chemistry is hotter than ever. Will Mica break his rules this one time? Will Maddie settle for less than what she deserves? These two had incredible chemistry. It’s a hot, sexy second chance romance. Great read.

What a dreamy Hollywood romance!

This is probably my favorite trope right now and I love the way Laurelin writes it. Andi is perfection as always.

I just have to say that the last quarter or so of the book has such a wide range of emotions. I felt crazy! But I loved it. I also love how talented Maddie was portrayed and how the crew was given a lot of the movie making spotlight. A pleasure to experience this story.
