Publisher's summary

It kills....

On a hot summer night in Montauk, the bodies of two local bar patrons are discovered in the dunes, torn to shreds, their identities unrecognizable....

It breeds....

In another part of town, a woman's backyard is invaded by four terrifying creatures that defy any kind of description. What's clear is that they're hostile - and they're ravenous....

It spreads....

With every sunset, the terror rises again, infecting residents with a virus no one can cure. The CDC can't help them; FEMA can't save them. But each savage attack brings Suffolk County Police Officer Gray Dalton one step closer to the shocking source of these unholy creations. Hidden on nearby Plum Island, a US research facility has been running top-secret experiments. What they created was never meant to see the light of day. Now, a vacation paradise is going straight to hell.

Performed by Ken Jackson, Michael John Casey, Julie-Ann Elliott, Thomas Keegan, Jonathon Church, Richard Rohan, Terence Aselford, Andy Brownstein, Joe Brack, David Jourdan, Todd Scofield, Laura C Harris, David Coyne, Lily Beacon, Barbara Pinolini, Katy Carkuff, Colleen Delany, Tracy Olivera, Scott McCormick, Margie Tompros, James Lewis, Rose Elizabeth Supan, Matthew Schleigh, Steven Carpenter, Sasha Olinick, Nanette Savard, Tony Nam, Yasmin Tuazon, Tim Getman, Jacob Yeh, Tim Carlin.

So fun!

I really enjoyed this "audiomovie." The acting & sound effects were perfectly calibrated to enhance the enjoyment of this story. This was not an intellectual experience, but rather, was a well done, light confection, that was a perfect vaycay read...a bit of "creepy-creature-threatens-normal-folks" fun, one might find in a Twilight Zone episode, but better.

Expect a great story to come alive!

This is the first Graphic Audio Book that I have heard and I can tell you it’s my new addiction! I love audio books as I can do my normal work and still read. However, add in the Graphic Audio version and you are on the edge of your seat! Totally loved this, highly recommend!

Great Story, Off Performance

Great writing and story from Shea, per usual. The performance of the "actors" was less than stellar. One of the lead male roles has an obvious speech impediment and for about half the book, the narrator sounds as though he has marbles in his mouth.

I don't necessarily think you should skip this one as the writing is awesome. Just be ready to be pulled out of the story from time to time by the actors.

My First Dramatized Book

I'm going to check to see what other dramatized books there ate because this one was very entertaining. Good story and performances.

Fun Mental Junk Food

Pure mental junk food. If you want an elegant 12 course meal, go read Shakespeare, but if you want to be entertained in a high fat, high sugar way with no nutritive value, this is just the feast you've been looking for. Great production values and fun voice acting are the filling in a Twinkie-esque plot with zero originality but loads of comforting taste. Eat up!
