It is a slime-covered fungus known for its pinkish red tentacles and pungent odor. It is indigenous to Australia but has spread to North America. Its Latin name is Clathrus Archeri, also known as Octopus Stinkhorn. Most people call it The Devil’s Fingers....

Deep in the woods of Washington, botanist Autumn Winters stumbles onto a field of the luridly colored fungi. Two of her fellow campers make the mistake of touching it. Now it’s growing on them. Fleshy gelatinous pods. Sprouting from their skin. Feeding on their blood.... 

Autumn watches in horror as her friends are transformed into monstrosities — grotesque, human-fungal hybrids as contagious and deadly as any virus. This book was good! The rats were creepy, I thoroughly enjoyed the iguanas, but the last story?? That thing gave me the heebie-jeebies!!! And then I had the audacity to look up what the fungus look like. Why on earth did I do that?! That story creeped me out so bad. It was just gross but in the good way. I’m so glad it’s over, lol 

Love the dramatization.

Lively and moved at a good pace. I just couldn’t get into the plots. Could be me with Spring Fever.

Great set of stories, if I had to rate them in order I would say 3, 1, 2 in order of greatness

Good Stories

A series of 3 short stories that are darkly comic and at times folkloric, yet always at their heart entertaining. If you like short stories then there will sure to be something in here for you. Highly enjoyable with a good full cast of narrating.

The rats overrunning new york city and the beginning of the fungus apocalypse

I like the way the devils fingers ended on a cliffhanger I hope they make another part of the devil's fingers to see if the the final man surviver escapes from the cops and puts down the two surviving boy scouts to prevent the apocalypse

Pretty Good

I prefer the other stories, but this batch was OK. The last story was brutal. Worth the purchase if you really like gruesome tales. Performances were excellent as always.

3 Horror Stories

All 3 stories were fun to listen to. They reminded me of the fun 80's horror stories!!!

Nice Trilogy

Good stories and very descriptive. I listen to these while working and they definitely steal my attention at time.

AWFUL narration and truly cringeworthy sound direction!

Narrator sounded like a sleepy gool! Sound mix was ghastly. Truly the worst audible book I've EVER listened to. Gave up @1/3 the way in. Oh, and the characters were awful, too. Just stunningly bad, bad, bad.
