Publisher's summary

Jake Silver may not be able to put the memories of his time as a sniper and Navy SEAL behind him, but at least he can put his skills to use as a part of the Jones Inc. rescue team. Saving the life of pediatric heart surgeon Dr. Aria Sinclair on Denali helped, too. Now, he can't get her out of his head, and when he hears she is in the path of a hurricane down in Key West, he can't help but jump on a plane to rescue her.

Aria has dedicated her life to helping children born with defective hearts. After all, she was one of those children. Now driven to succeed, she lives a lonely, stressful life. One she would have lost on Denali if it hadn't been for Jake. Jake is exciting and handsome, but he's also dangerous, and she's already lost one person she loves. She can't bear it again.

It's not until she finds herself trapped in the middle of a category 4 hurricane that she can admit she needs Jake desperately. With their very survival in the balance, can they hope for a second chance at life...and love?

You’ve got to be kidding me! Better be a sequel!

There had better be a sequel!!! I couldn’t put this book down and it’s in Audible format! Speaking of which, the narrator is probably the best I’ve heard and I only listen to lots of audible books!

Great story, now I want more!!

I listened to this book every chance I got, mostly while driving. The story is compelling and we'll written, I can't wait to read, or listen to, the test of this series!

What a great story!

What a great story! Packed with non-stop action and a deepening plot line that will have you listening/reading the final book (The Cost of Valor) immediately. The romance between Aria and Jake was great and the life lessons poignant.

Too much drama, still interesting

SMW takes the drama, both physical and emotional a bit over the top. I mean, how many heroics truly can one man do? And all her books are steeped in such deep emotion. They all have such “trauma” from their pasts. I know these books are somewhat aimed that way to give truly broken people hope and that’s great, but every book follows the same underlying “I am worthless etc” emotions. I like her books so well, and her topics are great!!! Just a bit more realistic would make the books great instead of very good!

Great series

This was a great series but better if you read them in order, which I did not. There was never a dull moment in any of the three books. Tough guys, strong women and cute kids always make a great combination. Enjoyed very much!

Non-stop action

Not only did this book keep me on the edge of my seat and up long after my bed time...it touched places deep inside of me that needed healing.

Awesome book

Susan Mae Warren captures you in each saga. What I like the best about her books is her articulate depiction of God. Always there in the midst of every storm. We are never alone. Be bold. Be courageous. Fear not, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

Horrible Unrealistic Plot

This is my first time to listen to this author. I appreciate how she presents the gospel but that is the only redeeming quality. There are too many convoluted plots and the characters are stuck on STUPID!! I only want faith based suspense books, but I don’t think I will try anymore from this author.
