Narration was terrible

I only listened to the entire thing because I bought it and I liked the storyline, however, the narration was terrible and ruined the experience for me. I cannot fairly rate the writing as my opinion will be heavily biased, based on the narration.

Slow start, but great ending!

I listened to this on audible. The narrator was great! I felt like the first few chapters took me some time to get into. But once Grace was deep into trouble, the interest picked up. The second half of the book, once Nathaniel was more involved and trying to resist Grace (and failing), the interest was high and I couldn’t get enough!

A sweet story

I wasn’t sure if I was going to finish this book at first. The narrator is American, however after the first 2 chapters it didn’t really bother me so much anymore as I became engrossed in the characters and the story. It was a little bit too long and I felt it dragged towards the end and I was becoming a little bored especially when they were going through a rough patch. There was not enough passion for me but otherwise a sweet lovely story.

Great clean romance

I loved it!! It’s refreshing to find really good romance that doesn’t turn into some kind of erotica book. This story was really good and I look forward to downloading the next book on audible!

I had to laugh

This is a delightful version of a 19th century English manners story. It's like Jane Austin light. Then I get clear to the end of the audiobook, and it is a story produced by the Mormon (LDS) Church! I had to laugh!

Ugh. Narration with an American accent

They should have spent more money to get a narrator capable of better accents. It ruined the book for me and I had to quit during the first chapter.

Enjoyably Good Read

I always enjoy Esther Hatch books and this one didn’t disappoint. Good story with anHEA is perfect for me. I enjoyed Abbigail Warren’s narration but distracted by background noises that at one time it sounded like a vacuum cleaner in another room. Thus the 4 stars for the performance. And since I can’t give 4.5 stars overall, couldn’t give 5, I had to settle with 4 stars.

I still recommend listening to this work.

i absolutely love this book so much that i bought a physical copy. esther hatch is a super talented writer and her stories are so original. i did not expect what i got from this book and it’s one of my favourites. i think about it all the time

Didn’t Care For Narrator

I really enjoyed the story, but I had a hard time listening to the narration, because the actor sounded too screechy for me. I really wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, but I think that this audiobook could’ve been a lot better had she used Noah.

I thought that the camaraderie between Nate and Grace was pretty funny, especially when she was trying to flirt with him. The circumstance that she was in was pretty sad and it was easy to feel sorry for her. There’s a big twist at the end, but it just made the story to be more exciting. her cousin was pretty funny as well, but her uncle gave me the creeps.

Fun story

This story made me laugh so much! Well written and I would recommend to anyone. I docked one star because towards to end there were some clicking sounds that distracted from the story.
