This audiobook combines the three postapocalyptic adventure books of the Solitary Man Series. Look around. Millions of preppers are working feverishly every day to get prepared for what they fear is a disaster about to happen in America. The motivation for preparing differs for each person. Donald is getting his farmstead prepared in case a predicted solar storm takes out the electrical grid. Some folks might call what Donald is trying to create as a bug-out location. Other people consider his little rural house as an effort to become more self-sufficient, like a homesteader.

    Badly Constructed Narrative

This book focuses on building a "bugout" location from scratch, with permaculture and disaster psychology applied to an unfolding catastrophe. takes his adventure story and weaves in prepper tricks and introduces some new survival supplies that most folks haven't thought about, integrating them into his storyline.

Not much fiction in this novel

Only if they are die hard preppers who don't care much about fiction.

There are millions of "preppers" that are working feverishly every day to get prepared for what they fear is a disaster about to happen in America. The motivation for prepping is different for each person. Donald has been getting his farmstead ready by making it more self-reliant in case of a solar storm occurrence that the experts say had a 12% chance of taking the electrical grid out. They should have said a 100% because it has happened and Donald was nowhere near done prepping for it when it occurred.

    Waste of a Credit

I normally like Ron's work, but for me this book was a waste of my time and painfully boring. The characters were also poorly represented and insulti..Show More »

A solar storm has taken out the Nation's electrical grid but Donald was ready for it and has prepped the finest solution available in the form of his very own solar generator. The survivors have to bug out of the farmstead as wildfires, looters and bad water threaten their existence. They are going to try to make it through the roads of a desperate world to a youth summer camp recreational area to carry on their lives and they will be the ones that thrive. Modern civilization travels with them because they have the means to run electric tools and a lap top computer that was protected by a faraday cage.
