Publisher's summary

True love is in store for one gruff cowboy in New York Times best-selling author Diana Palmer’s new Wyoming Men romance.

Cort Grier is no ordinary rancher. Despite his vast wealth, he still works the land with his own bare hands, unlike his troublesome new neighbor, Mina Michaels. Fiery, beautiful Mina infuriates and entrances Cort, awakening feelings he’d thought long buried. But he knows falling for a city girl can only lead to heartbreak....

Best-selling author Mina hardly expects to meet a man like the ones in her novels. But roguishly handsome Cort is an alpha hero through and through, from his stubborn streak to the fierce way this rugged cowboy protects his heart. When one sizzling kiss leads to another, can Mina convince Cort to open his world to her - now and forever?

Yuck! Absolutely terrible

Listen; I love romance novels and a bit of escapism is fine, but there’s a laundry list of things with this book so bad I will be returning it ASAP. This books feels like a comercial for all the other books the same autor has ever wrote she keeps plugging in this and that character that is from x book, fair if it’s a series but this book is not labeled like a series.

The whole book is wrote with a purity culture point of view that is nauseating and a missing opportunity for actual plot. Cowboy meets the Merry Widow that has the most personality and plot of all the book she was the obvious opportunity for cowboy to grow as a person to see that a glamorous worldly woman could also be interesting outside of his narrow view of women. Anyway he says pass and goes for a girl “not like other girls” that likes *checks notes* WWII history and Star Wars and he has never met a woman like her so when said temple of virtue has sex with him he assumes that is not because she is wanton or a moral but because she loves him. This whole plot is full of holes. Every single character understands their own trauma and emotions to a level that you would think they have been in therapy for years but nope, it’s just the lack of skill of the writer to show this vs telling that has all the characters describing in detail all of their motivations and then forget all that and go act like they don’t know what they are doing. There’s also a bunch of stuff that doesn’t make sense.

Can we tone it down? You can’t have 25 successful endeavors at age 30 + years of military/mercenary experience + dating dozens of women and be jaded… the math doesn’t math

Just One Minor Issue!

Maybe it was me; maybe it was my headphones or my ears - but, whenever he said "she" it sounded like "he." It was thoroughly confusing..... when the narrator got to say something from a female character and he would sound like "he said in a....."

Another Cowboy Hit

I love Diana books, she really makes you feel like you're on the ranch and loving every piece of dirt kicked up by a cowboy and I can't leave out Todd's voice, can't no one hit that cowboy tone as well as Todd. He brings so much emotion to the books where I can listen to him over and over. This was a very good read and yes, the ending did get me, I was surprised and I smiled. Ok next Diana on call for sure.

Really enjoyed this Audible recording.

I loved listening to this Diana Palmer book. The narration was excellent, and the characters were strong. There were some humorous portions of the recording that had me chuckling out loud. This was the type of updated DP book that I've been seeking. I'm hoping that some of the interesting secondary characters will be appearing in their own recorded stories. I'll be on the lookout.

Exciting

This book had a lot of excitement, and different strategies. I look forward to the next in the series. The narrator did a wonderful job.
