I need more Mary Sutter Books!
It took a minute to get going but once it did, I couldn't stop listening. I loved My Name is Mary Sutter, and Mary is the reason I listened to Winter Sisters. Tavia Gilbert rocked this narration. Holy smokes!

Great story!
Gripping is a good description of this story! What a great triumph of the human spirit and dignity, while also bringing to light the injustices in our laws and ideologies of old. I highly recommend this book.

A shocking piece of history.
I had read Robin Oliveira’s story about Mary Sutter when it was first published. The Winter Sisters is a brilliant sequel to the story of William and Mary. Even though the author changed the date of the blizzard for the purposes of the story, that did not detract from her tale. I had no idea the age of 10 was considered an acceptable age of consent. How tragic that was at that time.
The story is sad, tragic and haunting however the resolution is lovely.
