Pleasant listen but not great

This was an enjoyable listen with hood narration but the story telling is a little shallow and the writing can be underwhelming.
Overall though, enjoyed it and hearted fine interesting history along the way.

Great story!

I very much enjoyed this historical mystery (of sorts). I found myself looking up the characters and art history. The reader will find this a great read/narration!

It was very good!

This story kept my interest and did have an ending that tied everything up. The narration was also well done. All and all, well done.

Interesting time period and focus

This book was really intriguing and dove into a family and subjects I wasn’t previously familiar with. Lots of twists and turns!

The Magnolia Palace

I enjoyed reading the Magnolia Palace, it was educational and true to life. However I felt it was a drawn out. I would have like it better if it were condensed. Excellent reading.

This was such an enjoyable book. i loved the storyline and the character development. it was totally entertaining and I was swept away every time I listened.

Not my favorite by this author

I love visiting The Frick, so I thoroughly enjoyed the setting. The plot, however,often seemed contrived.

I love when I learn that the book is about real people! Now I’ll look up more!
