A Binge binge-worthy trilogy based in fact, but so much more than that!

I absolutely loved this trilogy. Could not wait for each installment, and I can’t remember when I have been sitting on the edge of my seat chewing my fingernails trying to figure out character motives and what is going to happen next!

I was thrilled with this last episode in the trilogy, and I can’t say enough good words about both the writing and the narration. Joanna Craven is an excellent writer, and all three of the books in the series — I also highly recommend recommend Moonshine, the precursor to this book — also available on Audible — Once you start this trilogy you will not want to turn it off — You will groan if your phone rings while this is playing, believe me!
I have to say I was totally blown away by the last installment. I didn’t see the ending coming from a mile away and was pleasantly surprised by the way all the loose ends were tied up very tightly. What a great take on true history, and a major nailbiter as I’ve said before.

Rebecca McKernan is a really powerful narrator and makes the story even more enjoyable if that were even possible. A++ all around, and I am sad it’s over it will definitely re-listen a few times! I am extremely gripping trilogy plus prequel, and I do not say this lightly. You will not regret bingeing this series!! Had me hooked from the first line of the first book.

A satisfying conclusion

I received a review copy of this audiobook.

This was a satisfying conclusion to the West Country Trilogy. The interwoven plots come to a head, the characters receive satisfying resolutions, and the conclusion of the book gives context for which elements of the series were historical.

As with the previous two installments, the tension in the narrator’s voice is overwhelming and unpleasant.

Nail biting

Wild Light the stunning conclusion to the series. It is both terrible and beautiful. An unyielding foreboding runs throughout the story . Written with skill and care for a time that was. I could see the wild cornish coast and village. The language was lovely and powerful.
Enjoyable narrator, I listened at 1.05x
