The first time I met Damien Baxter, I told him to go eff himself. The second time I met him, I almost slapped him across the face after he made me cry. Third time’s a charm right? Wrong. But I have no choice. I’m stuck shadowing him at his company for the next two months. And if I want to achieve my dream of getting into the Ph.D. program I've worked toward my whole life, then I’m going to have to suck him up. It. Suck it up. If he has his way, though, the only thing I’m going to be learning from him is how to have my body utterly and completely ravaged and my heart broken.

A delectably spicy dark romance
In the safe space of imagination and fantasy, the obsessed, aggressive, and possessive lover/captor of an equally obsessed, and self-possessed heroine that Mila Kane brings to the story are wonderfully developed. She draws you in with interesting main and minor characters and backstories. She weaves a heartwarming but deliciously sensual tale of reunited young love, with a thrilling sequence of events to fret over.
I immediately purchased the 2nd part after the chilling cliffhanger ending!
The narrators did an incredible job of bringing the characters to vivid reality, wonderful portrayals.

The better prose of sexual content
I liked the story. I like Gideon Frost. He does well with the accent. Sometimes I cringe at sexual content because of how it’s said and I appreciated the author’s taking the time to present it a bit smoother than the usually really graphic way. I will be looking for the next book. If you like Mafia/dom romance, but not too dark, you will like this one. I listen to Jane Henry and a few other authors who are a lot darker than this so I’m not a novice, and I thought this had a pretty good storyline.☺️

Amazing!
I loved it. it had me hooked from start to finish and I've already recommended it to 3 of my friends who purchased it. can't wait for the next part
